Our client is a Singapore-headquartered family office that focuses on global multi-asset class investment strategies. It was established in 2021 and backed by an owner of a global maritime MNC. It invests and runs various businesses, including a boutique yacht management company dedicated to delivering transparent, efficient and owner-focused services. This role is based in town, and the co allows a WFH arrangement of 1 to 2 days per week.


As Senior Executive, Yacht Finance, you are responsible for managing the finances of a portfolio of yachts owned by the investment firm. This role ensures strong financial control, accurate reporting, and regulatory compliance, while supporting seamless day-to-day operations and delivering high-quality service to yacht owners.

Reporting Structure:

  • Reports to the Finance Director, who provides technical leadership and oversight of financial execution, with formal review at key milestones (budgets and reforecasts) and ad hoc spot-checks day-to-day as required
  • Functional accountability to the Director of Operations, BPY, for day-to-day coordination and yacht-specific domain knowledge (e.g. procurement needs, identification of specific yacht-related items)


Key Responsibilities:

Financial Management & Control

  • Produce regular financial reports for internal and owner stakeholders
  • Perform monthly consolidation of accounts and variance analysis
  • Manage and process expense claims in line with company policies
  • Review and monitor credit card spend, ensuring accurate allocation and reconciliation
  • Prepare annual operational and project budgets Accounts Payable & Payroll
  • Verify vendor invoices for accuracy and compliance prior to payment and process vendor payments in a timely manner
  • Manage payroll for yacht crew, ensuring accuracy and adherence to timelines
  • Support banking administration, set-up and maintenance
  • Support on accounts payable for related entities when required Owner & Administrative Support
  • Provide owner administration support, including reporting, queries, and financial updates
  • Support general administrative tasks as required Compliance & Systems
  • Support accounting, tax and any other regulatory filings and ensure compliance with relevant regulatory requirements
  • Maintain and manage the yacht management system, ensuring data accuracy and integrity (Finance, Crewing payroll, Inventory modules)
  • Handle periodic Know-Your-Client (KYC) or Anti-Money Laundering (AML) questionnaires

Operational Support

  • Oversee inventory tracking and cost control processes
  • Support operational teams with financial oversight for provisioning and projects
  • Provide general support in the finance team


Job Requirements:

  • Minimum Diploma with at least 5 years of relevant experience / Degree with at least 3 years of relevant experience covering operational accounting including Financial Control/Reporting, Accounts Payable, Banking Admin, cost tracking, cost variance analysis gained in a MNC environment
  • Relevant certifications (e.g. CA / CPA / ACCA) or currently on its pathway are a plus
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and cross jurisdictional structures.
  • Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), Teams, Sharepoint, and other relevant softwares
  • Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion and maintain confidentiality.
  • Very hands-on with the ability to work independently and collaboratively with minimal supervision.
  • Proactive, adaptable, and positive attitude.
  • Fast learner with strong problem-solving skills.
  • Punctual and responsible, with a strong sense of accountability.
  • Strong organisational and multitasking abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficiency in budgeting, reporting, and financial systems.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Flexible and adaptable to new challenges. Proactive with a good work attitude.


Preferred experience (not a must):

  • Background in finance, accounting, ideally within yachting, hospitality, or a luxury service environment (but this is not a must)
  • Experience using a Deepblue Yacht Management System is useful (but not a must)
