About Ashfords
Ashfords is Melbourne’s South East’s largest independently owned multidisciplinary firm. Across seven specialist business units, we offer the depth and opportunity of a larger firm with the agility, flexibility and close-knit culture of an independent business. We’re ambitious about what comes next—for our clients, our firm and our people. Here, you’ll have the support to grow, the freedom to lead and the opportunity to make a visible impact.

About the Role
We are looking for a highly motivated Senior Financial Adviser with a strong commercial focus and a proven ability to generate new business opportunities.

Whilst Ashfords offers an established referral network and a steady pipeline of opportunities, this role will suit an adviser who enjoys developing their own relationships, building strategic networks, and growing a significant book of clients over time.

Advisers with an existing client base who are looking for a supportive, long-term professional home are encouraged to apply. We welcome conversations with advisers seeking to transition and continue growing their practice within a collaborative and well-resourced environment.
If you’re commercially focused, passionate about developing professional relationships, and eager to take charge of your career, we’d love to hear from you.

  • An experienced Financial Adviser who meets all Financial Adviser Standards and regulatory requirements.
  • A proven track record of generating new business opportunities and growing a sustainable book of clients.
  • Commercially minded, entrepreneurial and motivated by achieving growth through relationship building and business development.
  • Confident in identifying opportunities, converting prospects and creating long-term value for both clients and the business.
  • Exceptional relationship management, communication and influencing skills.
  • Experience working with high-net-worth individuals, business owners and complex client structures will be highly regarded.

  • Proactively build and grow a high-quality client portfolio through business development, professional networking, referral generation and strategic relationship management.
  • Identify, cultivate and convert opportunities from prospective clients, centres of influence, and professional referral partners.
  • Deliver holistic, goals-based financial advice to existing and prospective clients, building trusted long-term relationships and exceptional client outcomes.
  • Develop and implement tailored wealth creation, investment, superannuation, retirement and intergenerational wealth strategies.
  • Leverage and strengthen relationships across the firm's Accounting & Tax, Lending and Business Advisory divisions to maximise referral opportunities and deliver integrated client solutions.
  • Maintain an active presence within professional and community networks, representing Ashfords and enhancing the profile of the Wealth division.
  • Contribute to the continued growth of the Wealth business through client acquisition initiatives, strategic opportunities and market engagement activities.
  • Mentor and support junior team members while contributing to continuous improvement initiatives across the Wealth division.
At Ashfords, you'll enjoy the career opportunities, support and resources of a larger firm, with the influence, visibility and agility of a growing independent business. Our purpose is simple: helping our clients, our people and our firm achieve financial freedom and peace of mind.

  • What you'll enjoy:
Flexible work arrangements that support life outside of work
  • Competitive salary plus performance-based incentives
  • Ongoing investment in your professional and leadership development
  • A collaborative, inclusive and high-performing culture
  • Regular social events, team experiences and wellbeing initiatives
  • The opportunity to make a real impact and shape the future of the business

Why People Join (and stay)
  • Genuine ownership of your clients, team and career
  • Direct access to approachable and commercially minded leaders
  • A growing firm that embraces new ideas and innovation
  • Flexibility that works in practice, not just on paper
  • Strong team culture built on trust, collaboration and success
  • Continuous investment in your technical, leadership and commercial growth

Applicants must have unrestricted working rights in Australia.
