Vision To Learn is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst to join our Finance team. This hands-on role will lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis functions while partnering with teams across the organization. Location: Los Angeles, CA or Remote (U.S.) Vision To Learn is headquartered in Los Angeles, CA. This position is open to both Los Angeles-based and remote candidates within the United States. Position: Full-Time Reports to: CFO Salary Range: $95,000–$110,000 annually, depending on location and experience About Vision To Learn: Mission: Help set millions of school-age kids up for ongoing life success by providing vision screenings, eye exams, and glasses at no cost to families in low-income urban and rural communities. Strategic Snapshot: Millions of children across the country struggle to read a book, see the board, or participate fully in class simply because they cannot see clearly. Many don’t even realize they have a vision problem. Vision To Learn addresses this challenge by bringing vision care directly to students. Providing glasses can improve academic performance, behavior, attendance, and confidence—with benefits that can last a lifetime. What began with a single mobile clinic in Los Angeles has grown into a national program, with 50 mobile clinics serving 145 school districts and 400 cities from Honolulu to Baltimore. VTL is the largest school-based program of its kind in the U.S. Recognized by the U.S. Senate, the California Teachers Association, and the Obama White House $25M annual budget with continued growth Position Summary Vision To Learn is seeking a Senior Financial Analyst with both a passion for nonprofit work and relevant experience. This role will lead the budgeting, forecasting, and financial analysis functions that are critical to realizing VTL’s mission and vision. The Senior Financial Analyst will be a key member of the Finance team and will have significant visibility across the organization, including senior leadership, the VTL Board, and field operations. In collaboration with the Controller and Chief Financial Officer, the Senior Financial Analyst will lead the annual budgeting and forecasting processes and perform financial analysis for the organization. The Senior Financial Analyst will develop financial models, monitor budget-to-actual performance, translate financial data into clear, actionable insights, and play an instrumental role in implementing and optimizing the organization’s FP&A software. Key Duties and Responsibilities Partner with Operations and Development staff to support accurate budgeting and reporting Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial analyses and cash flow projections Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support organizational planning and long-range financial strategy Monitor spending against grant and program budgets Prepare financial reporting materials and schedules for government, corporate, and foundation grants Implement FP&A software and build out budgeting processes and reports Support the preparation of financial statements and board-specific reporting Assist with audit readiness by preparing and updating supporting schedules and analyses This is a general description of the job duties; other duties may be assigned by the manager as needed. Qualifications Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or equivalent combination of education and relevant finance experience 4+ years of professional experience in financial analysis, budgeting, or accounting Prior experience working in a nonprofit Understanding of grant budgets and restricted funding, including the analysis and reporting of government, corporate, and foundation grants Technology savvy with advanced knowledge of accounting, budgeting, and reporting software and the ability to work with financial data across multiple systems Preferred Qualifications Expert-level Excel skills working with complex workbooks using formulas, macros, and pivot tables Strong analytical and critical thinking capabilities, with the ability to translate financial data into clear, actionable insights Experience with Sage Intacct Prior experience in nonprofit finance, including fund and grant budgeting and monitoring Ability to manage multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment Highly motivated, resourceful, and flexible, with a positive attitude Effective communication and documentation skills Salary and Benefits Salary range of $95,000–$110,000 annually, depending on relevant experience, qualifications, and work location Paid time off and company holidays Medical, dental, and vision insurance Professional development opportunities Life insurance Flexible spending account
