Salary range: $90-110k, depending upon experience
Responsibilities
You will own your work here. Leaders rely on your numbers, and they will question them.
-
- Performance analysis: Analyze company results, identify trends, and make recommendations to leaders. A report without a recommendation is unfinished.
- Variance and risk: Explain why the numbers moved, not only that they moved. Investigate revenue and expense variances, size the financial risk, and recommend corrective action.
- Clinic cost structure: Break down clinic-level costs, including medical supplies and overhead, and find savings.
- Operational Support: Work with Regional Directors on forecasts, reports, ad hoc analysis, and growth strategy. Deliver what they need, on their timeline.
- Data extraction and interpretation: Pull financial and operational data yourself, interpret it, and surface the trends and opportunities the regions would otherwise miss.
- Budget ownership: Leverage your knowledge from weekly and monthly reporting cycles to build the Annual Budget.
- Evaluation: Assess opportunities, calculate ROI, and give leaders a clear financial recommendation they can act on.
- Strategic initiatives: Help plan and carry out the company’s strategic initiatives. Track the numbers and raise problems early.
- Executive reporting: Prepare reports, analyses, and forecasts for senior management and stakeholders. They go to executives, so they must be right the first time.
- Accounting Partnership: Work with the accounting team to keep financial reporting accurate, complete, and compliant with regulatory requirements.
- Other duties as assigned: Priorities shift. You adjust without being asked twice.
Qualifications
Qualifications
-
- Experience: 3 to 5 years in FP&A. You have owned deliverables, not supported them.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in finance or accounting.
- Modeling: You built budgets, forecasts, or driver-based models from a blank sheet. Updating someone else’s model does not count.
- Excel: Your peers consider you an expert. You build dynamic scenarios, link multiple data sources, and structure models so others can audit them. You do not need a tutorial.
- Accuracy: You check your own work before anyone else sees it. Errors will be rare. If an error is made, you report it, fix it, and add a control so it does not repeat.
- Speed: You deliver correct work on tight deadlines. You state your assumptions when the data is incomplete.
- Independence: You define the problem, set your own priorities, and escalate only when it matters.
- Executive communication: You explain results to senior leaders in plain terms and defend your numbers under direct questioning.
- Adaptability: Priorities change. You adjust the same day and keep the quality of your work intact.
- Character: You do all of this with good humor and real respect for the people around you. You join a group that already works well, you make it stronger, and you treat colleagues with courtesy even when the deadline is tight. High standards do not excuse being difficult to work with
- Preferred but not Required: SQL: You write your own queries and pull your own data, Accounting: You understand accounting. You have worked in NetSuite and understand where and how the numbers originate.
