Complex transactions, new products and changing business needs often raise accounting questions without a standard answer.
As Senior Financial Controller, you’ll combine hands-on financial controlling and Group reporting with IFRS and technical accounting expertise. You’ll assess those questions, establish the accounting treatment and translate your conclusions into clear, practical reporting solutions across the Group.
This is a role for someone who enjoys being close to the numbers while taking ownership of the accounting questions behind them. You’ll have room to apply your expertise across reporting processes, accounting governance and IFRS as the business develops.
DIVE INTO WHAT YOUR DAY-TO-DAY TASKS WILL BE
Your work combines recurring financial controlling and Group reporting with accounting assessments that require deeper analysis.
Your mission is to:
- Support month-end and year-end closing, Group reporting, accounting analyses and quality assurance of financial data
- Provide IFRS and technical accounting expertise on complex accounting matters and contribute to accounting policies, reporting guidance and documentation across the Group
- Analyse new products, contracts, energy trading activities and strategic initiatives to determine their accounting and reporting implications
- Strengthen Group reporting processes, controls and documentation to support consistent and reliable financial reporting
- Work across Financial Controlling, Accounting, Risk, Treasury, Tax, Legal, Trading and Business Development, bringing financial reporting expertise into complex business and accounting decisions
JOIN A TEAM OF MINDFUL ACHIEVERS
You’ll join our Financial Controlling team, where collaboration, learning, high-quality reporting and strong processes are part of everyday work. Curiosity and practical thinking shape how the team approaches financial questions and grows.
Knowledge is shared openly, and colleagues challenge ideas constructively to improve controlling, reporting and compliance. You’ll have room to contribute your expertise from day one while continuing to develop professionally.
This position is based at our Aarhus office, with flexibility to work from home when it fits the work and the team. Expect around 5–10 days of travel each year.
LET'S SWITCH THE FOCUS TO YOU
You enjoy working close to the numbers and digging deeper when an accounting question requires it. You approach complex questions with curiosity and structure, connecting the details to the broader reporting picture and turning your conclusions into something others can use.
We imagine you bring:
- 5+ years of experience in financial controlling, Group reporting, audit, technical accounting or a similar finance position.
- A master’s degree in accounting, auditing, finance or a related field.
- Solid knowledge of IFRS and financial reporting, with an interest in developing further expertise within technical accounting.
- Experience from a Big 4 firm, an international finance function, Group Finance or a similar controlling and accounting environment.
- The ability to communicate complex accounting and reporting matters clearly to finance and non-finance stakeholders.
- Fluency in Danish and English, both written and spoken.
You don’t need to tick every box. What matters most is a solid controlling and financial reporting foundation, combined with the curiosity to dig into complex accounting questions.
WE MIGHT BE BIASED, BUT IT IS QUITE AWESOME HERE
People here care about doing things well and creating a place people genuinely enjoy being part of. We like to hack the everyday, from breakfast and lunch made in-house with organic ingredients to in-house massage, something in the freezer when the day runs late and the occasional “Just Because” surprise. You also get five Switch Days, equal to a seventh holiday week, giving you extra flexibility and room to recharge throughout the year.
Through Mind Club, people come together around everything from padel and Football Shirt Fridays to clay pigeon shooting and Christmas afternoons with your family and Santa. And with Mind Academy, you grow alongside sharp and curious colleagues who challenge ideas, share knowledge and help each other level up. These are just some of the things that make us special. It’s easier to experience in person.
We’re mindful achievers. It shapes how we work, think and grow together, while recognising that well-being, care and integrity matter just as much as the results we create. This is a place to focus, grow and achieve more.

- A reporting process or control you’ve improved. What did you change, and what was the result?
Where confidentiality permits, you’re welcome to include an anonymised accounting assessment or reporting example, as well as your university transcript if available.
