Do you enjoy digging into complex financial planning questions—from evaluating Roth conversions and stock options to uncovering opportunities in estate planning documents? Savant's national Planning Team is looking for a Senior Financial Planner who thrives on sophisticated, high-net-worth planning and wants to make a real impact without being boxed into a traditional advisor path. In this role, you'll partner closely with our Planning Team Strategist and advisory teams to design and deliver comprehensive strategies across Savant's 10 key areas of financial planning. You'll take ownership of complex planning engagements, guide new client relationships, raise the bar on planning quality across the team, and mentor the next generation of planners. If you're a CFP® professional who's intellectually curious, client-first, and energized by solving complex problems, we'd love to meet you.
In this role, you can expect to focus in the following areas:
-
Delivering advanced financial planning across Savant's 10 key areas—Retirement, Education, Income Tax, Investment, Estate, Business, Charitable Planning, Health & Wellness, Risk, and Debt Management
-
Preparing and presenting sophisticated analyses, including tax projections, stock option analyses, Roth conversion analyses, and interactive retirement plans
-
Leading discovery and planning meetings, serving as a primary contact for clients and prospects, and reviewing financial statements, tax returns, and estate planning documents
-
Owning new Navigator client relationships and creating a seamless onboarding and discovery experience
-
Collaborating with lead advisors, co-advisors, and Private Client Group (PCG) Advisors on recommendations, casework, and planning analysis
-
Providing quality control on planning cases and mentoring junior members of the team
-
Leading specialty and departmental planning projects that enhance the firm's overall service offering
-
Serving as a go-to planning resource for advisors and clients, including sharing proactive planning and tax insights
A couple things to note about our Senior Financial Planner position:
-
This position is open to candidates nationwide, with a preference for those located near one of Savant's offices
-
Hybrid work model; fully remote arrangements may be considered for the right candidate
-
You'll join a collaborative, national Planning Team led by our Director of Financial Planning. Candidates with slightly less experience are encouraged to apply and may be considered for a Financial Planner-level opportunity.

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, Accounting, or a related field from an accredited college or university

-
Certified Financial Planner™ (CFP®) professional in good standing required; specialty certification in a relevant planning area preferred

-
Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills, plus a well-developed level of emotional intelligence
-
Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced environment while following established processes

-
An intellectually curious, proactive, client-first mindset—always looking to learn, question, and improve
