Senior Floorplanning Specialist - Matas Group
We are looking for a commercially minded Senior Floorplanning Specialist who can drive strategic discussions, improve customer flow and take hands-on ownership of delivering and maintaining floorplans.
We are here to win the Nordics and we want you to be a part of it. At Matas Group you become part of the No.1 Nordic beauty and wellness retailer with 500+ stores across Denmark, Sweden, Norway and Finland, where more than 5.000+ employees come together to offer a broad portfolio of loved brands and expert advice to our customers.
And our ambition is clear: to grow our presence across every Nordic market, every channel and every category.
Shape the commercial potential of our stores – and make it work in practice
Reporting to the Head of Assortment & Floorplanning, you will work closely with Assortment Analytics, Category, Construction and other cross-functional partners to turn commercial priorities into practical store layouts. You will challenge proposals and balance category and brand ambitions with customer journeys, capacity and everyday store operations.
Alongside the strategic discussions, you will develop and update a high volume of floorplans for assortment changes, brand launches, openings and rebuilds, ensuring accurate, implementation-ready plans are delivered on time.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Drive commercial discussions on space priorities, using data and store insight to recommend solutions.
- Optimise zoning, customer flow and adjacencies, balancing commercial potential with operational needs.
- Develop and maintain floorplans and blocking plans, including fixtures and customer navigation.
- Coordinate stakeholders and suppliers, resolve competing requirements and validate feasibility for implementation.
- Maintain reliable space data, align with Space Management on planograms and improve tools and processes, including SymphonyAI.
Commercial judgement, retail understanding and a hands-on mindset
You understand what makes a store work for customers, colleagues and the business. You can challenge assumptions, build alignment and recommend a direction – and enjoy the detailed work needed to deliver it.
We imagine that you bring:
- Solid experience in retail floorplanning, space planning or store development, ideally with a background in architecture, retail design or a related field.
- Hands-on experience with AutoCAD or similar drawing tools and the ability to produce accurate, implementation-ready floorplans. Experience with SymphonyAI is a plus
- Strong commercial judgement and an analytical approach to turning data and store insights into clear recommendations
- A practical understanding of store operations, customer behaviour, zoning, customer flow and fixture planning
- A structured approach to managing multiple projects and a high volume of floorplan updates without compromising accuracy or deadlines
- Confidence in leading cross-functional discussions, challenging proposals constructively and building alignment around complex decisions
We invest in you

That’s why we actively invest in mental health, employee growth, leadership development, and a flexible and inspiring workplace where you feel safe, supported, and empowered.
