⛵ About Our Crew
Boats Group is the fastest-growing digital business in the recreational boating space. We are a talented team of technologists, creatives, marketers, closers, and customer advocates who spend each day pushing the boundaries of technology to make buying, selling, and renting boats easy. Every day, we work with a global inventory of more than 500,000 boats.
Our Barcelona office is home to Boats Group's European team, creating a dynamic and international workplace where technology, marketplaces, and boating passion come together.
As part of our continued growth, we are hiring a Senior Manager, International FP&A, based in Barcelona, as the finance partner for one of our fastest-growing international segments.
🧭 Your Role
We're looking for a Senior Manager, International FP&A to join our crew in Barcelona as the key finance partner to senior GTM and Product leaders, connecting financial results to retention, expansion, pricing, sales execution, marketplace supply/demand, and product performance.
This role sits at the intersection of vertical SaaS and two-sided marketplace economics. You'll own analyses and forecasts that leadership trusts for investment decisions: highly operational and strategic, with a clear line of sight from customer and marketplace drivers to P&L outcomes.
You'll report to the VP of FP&A, work across international markets from Barcelona, and turn weekly/monthly reviews into decisions, not reporting theatre.
🚀 What You'll Do
Commercial Partnership: act as the primary finance partner for the international business with senior GTM and Product leaders on growth, retention, pricing, customer value, and investment decisions.
Planning & Forecasting: own international revenue and contribution forecasts, the annual plan, and long-range scenarios; build driver-based models that link customer activity, marketplace performance, and unit economics to financial outcomes.
SaaS & Marketplace Metrics: bring rigor to NRR, GRR, churn, upsell, CAC, ARPA, cohorts, and product adoption, alongside listings, traffic, leads, conversion, and marketplace liquidity.
Strategic Initiatives: support pricing, packaging, sales productivity, retention, market expansion, and new products with clear ROI and margin-expansion analysis; track delivery vs business case.
Performance Management: lead monthly and weekly business reviews; surface variances and leading indicators; deliver concise recommendations to senior leadership.
Operational Execution: diagnose issues with commercial and product partners; use AI to improve reporting and speed analysis; support close and ad hoc work as needed.
🎯 What You Should Have
Vertical SaaS & marketplace expertise: you read subscription economics and two-sided marketplace dynamics together, not as separate dashboards.
8+ years in FP&A, strategic finance, or commercial finance; Bachelor's in Finance, Math, Economics, or a related field.
Strong commercial judgment from partnering Sales, Customer Success, Marketing, and Product.
Advanced modeling / Excel; experience with AI-augmented finance workflows; SQL / BI a plus.
Proven ownership of an international forecast cadence, with analytical rigor, process and metric quality, and clear communication to senior leaders.
Based in Barcelona, collaborating across international markets.
English required. Spanish is a plus (bonus, never a dealbreaker).
🌊 Bonus points
Experience in travel, marketplace, or multi-market digital businesses.
Comfort designing metric definitions and raising the bar on data quality.
Habit of using AI/automation to free time for higher-value commercial and strategic work.
