WHO WE ARE
Ding is the global leader in cross-border value transfer. Since 2006, we’ve moved more than $6BN across borders, putting money directly into the hands of diaspora communities so they can support the families they left behind. Today, we operate in 160+ countries, partner with 600+ mobile operators, and serve some of the world’s most underserved markets with technology that is fast, reliable and genuinely life-changing.
We’re headquartered in Dublin and built by a team of 200+ people spread across the globe, engineers, operators and product thinkers who believe that moving value across borders should be as simple as sending a message.
We move fast, build with purpose, and hold ourselves to four values:
- We’re Here to Make a Difference
- We are Thinkers, Linkers & Doers
- We Win Together
- We Imagine Boldly & Build Fast
THE ROLE
JOB TITLE: Senior Frontend Engineer
LOCATION: Bucharest, Romania
TYPE OF CONTRACT: Permanent, Full-Time
We’re on the lookout for a talented web developer who’s curious, collaborative, and excited about building world-class web experiences.
You’ll join a close-knit team of web engineers and work alongside folks in Product, Data, QA, and Design. Together, you’ll help shape and deliver the next generation of our web applications, used by people all over the world.
We’re hands-on here, and this role is no different. You’ll be right in the thick of it, writing clean, scalable code with React, Node.js and TypeScript, contributing to architecture decisions, and helping us keep our tech standards high. You’ll also have a voice in how we improve our ways of working, and we’ll welcome your ideas on tools, frameworks, and best practices.
If you love solving problems, care about users, and want to be part of a team where your input matters, we’d love to hear from you.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Build performant web applications using modern React, Node.js and TypeScript
- Work with exciting technologies (React, Node.js, TypeScript, CI/CD pipelines)
- Optimise application performance and make sure best practices are followed
- Be part of the whole lifecycle of a feature, from the idea to discussion with the business, delivery and release to production
- Take part in discussions about new features, refactor opportunities, team improvements and new tech, and be listened to
- Belong to a team that’s constantly thinking about efficiency through good practices
- Implement SEO best practices to maximise visibility and user reach
- Implement and maintain CI/CD workflows to ensure smooth deployments
- Be part of a highly effective team using Kanban methodologies
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
- At least 5 years of professional experience in web development using React
- Strong professional experience with TypeScript and Node.js
- Knowledge of CI/CD principles and experience implementing automated pipelines
- Solid understanding of SEO best practices, including meta tags, semantic HTML, structured data, and performance optimisation for search rankings
- Strong testing focus, with the ability to write “clean” and “well designed code”
- Someone who is not afraid of challenging projects and is open to looking at new ways to resolve them
- Strong verbal and written communication
- Familiarity with modern web architectural patterns and state management solutions
- Experience in best practices in application development, including Agile Development, Continuous Integration, Test Driven Development and SOLID principles
- Strong understanding of web performance best practices, including optimisation techniques, lazy loading, code splitting, and bundle optimisation
- Strong team player skills
- Experience with modern JavaScript frameworks (Gatsby, Astro or Next.js)
YOU WILL LOVE WORKING AT DING IF
- You want your work to mean something. We move real money for real people — families sending support across borders and communities staying connected.
- You thrive with ownership, not instruction. At Ding, you’ll shape the work, not just deliver it.
- You’re energised by complexity and excited by international growth at scale.
- You enjoy combining creativity, performance marketing and data-driven decision making.
- You want to work with people who are collaborative, direct and genuinely supportive.
- You’re excited by the intersection of paid media, automation and AI-powered workflows.
LIFE AT DING
We’re building something that genuinely matters and we want the environment to reflect that. You’ll get real ownership from day one, work with a diverse global team across 25+ nationalities, and be part of a culture that is high-performance without being high-ego.
Beyond the work itself, we’ve designed our benefits around flexibility, longevity and genuine quality of life:
- YOLO days & Dingversary Leave: Additional holidays the year of your 4th/7th/10th/13th Anniversary
- Flexible & Hybrid Working: We recognise the need to use space and working practices in ways that best support you.
- Work Abroad Programme: The opportunity to work for 30 days from another country each year.
