Who We're Looking For

We're looking for a Senior Full-stack Developer with strong C#/.NET and Docker experience to contribute to an AI platform for engineering automation. You will combine backend development with TypeScript and a modern frontend framework, taking ownership of features across connected web and desktop products.

This is a hands-on engineering role with responsibility for implementation, technical decisions, code quality, and collaboration with the client's product and engineering teams. The current search prioritizes C#/.NET and Docker; Python experience is an additional advantage.

About the Company

CleverLabs is a software development company specializing in building WEB and API applications since 2015. We work on long-term projects, developing products from scratch as part of distributed product teams. Our clients are based in the USA, the UK, EU, and MENA regions.

About the Project

The client develops an agentic AI platform that helps engineering teams automate complex workflows involving design, simulation, and optimization. The product combines a web execution platform, a low-code desktop editor, and a customer portal.

The team is connecting these components into a consistent user experience and making engineering automations easier to build and use. The role includes full-stack feature development, collaboration across product components, and practical use of AI tools in software development.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain features across the web platform, desktop editor, and customer portal.
  • Build backend functionality with C#/.NET and user-facing functionality with TypeScript and a modern web framework.
  • Own features from technical design through implementation, review, and delivery.
  • Work with relational data and Docker-based environments, handling routine development and deployment tasks.
  • Collaborate with engineers across teams, participate in design discussions, and review pull requests.
  • Use AI tools and coding agents thoughtfully, reviewing and validating their output.
  • Demonstrate completed work and join customer discussions with the customer success team when needed.
  • Prototype solutions to customer problems and take responsibility for increasingly complex modules and features.

Required Skills & Experience

  • At least 6 years of professional software engineering experience, with the ability to independently own substantial features.
  • Strong practical C#/.NET development experience, with clear examples of your contribution to production applications.
  • Hands-on Docker experience and confidence with basic DevOps tasks.
  • Proficiency in TypeScript and at least one modern frontend framework: React, Angular, or Vue.js.
  • Experience with relational databases such as PostgreSQL.
  • Familiarity with AI development tools and coding agents.
  • Ability to communicate technical decisions clearly, collaborate across teams, and participate in code and design reviews.
  • English sufficient for daily collaboration and technical discussions with an international team.

Technical Focus

  • Backend: C#/.NET; Python is also relevant within the broader role.
  • Frontend: TypeScript with React, Angular, or Vue.js experience.
  • Data and deployment: relational databases, PostgreSQL, Docker, and basic DevOps.
  • Desktop development: WPF and ReactiveUI are useful additional skills.
  • Development workflow: AI tools, coding agents, code reviews, and feature ownership.

Nice to Have

  • Python development experience.
  • WPF or ReactiveUI experience.
  • Experience making software or solution architecture decisions.
  • Experience with engineering software, CAD, simulation, optimization, or a mechanical engineering background.
  • Experience connecting web and desktop applications into a coherent product.

Working Conditions

  • Remote, full-time Contractor or B2B engagement through CleverLabs.
  • Collaboration with a Germany-based engineering team; working hours and meeting overlap will be agreed.
  • The client's advertised direct-hire role requires residence in Germany. Location eligibility for a contractor engagement must be confirmed before an engagement is agreed.
  • Start date, compensation, scope, and engagement duration are to be agreed.

Benefits

  • Remote work options.
  • MacBook Pro work equipment.
  • Individual English lessons.
  • Coverage of sports and wellness expenses.
  • Social health benefits.
  • Gifts for holidays and special events.
  • Professional training, conference participation, internal meetups, and seminars.
