Senior Full-Stack Engineer

Svitla Systems Inc. is looking for a Senior Full-Stack Engineer (Python, Microservices, React) for a full-time position (40 hours per week) in Ukraine. They may also gather their primary research data through surveys, polls, or web-based offerings. Experts are categorized into six main industry sectors: healthcare, financial and business services, consumer goods and services, energy, industrials, basic materials, tech, media, telecom, and legal and regulatory. Since 2003, the company has provided its customers with primary research services, helping professionals comprehensively understand a topic before making significant investments and/or business decisions. Their multinational customer list includes nine top 10 consulting firms, hundreds of hedge funds, and many of the largest private equity firms and Fortune-ranked companies.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience developing software using Python, and experience with Azure or AWS.
• Experience with React.
• Strong knowledge and hands-on experience in Microservices architecture, Docker, Kubernetes, and AKS.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines using Azure DevOps, including YAML files and Helm charts.
• Proficiency in implementing unit testing, integration testing, and end-to-end testing.
• Solid understanding of object-oriented programming, service-oriented architecture, and design patterns.
• Experience in designing fault-tolerant, scalable, and resilient cloud solutions using the Well-Architected Framework.
  
  

Will be a plus

• Experience in Data Engineering with Azure Databricks and PySpark.
• Familiarity with data ingestion, processing, and analysis using distributed data processing frameworks.
• Knowledge of designing and deploying solutions leveraging Azure services such as PostgreSQL, Azure Cosmos DB, Azure Service Bus, Azure Event Hub, and Azure Key Vault.
• Experience with Git workflows, including branching, merging, pull requests, and conflict resolution utilizing Bitbucket or GitHub.
• Hands-on experience with monitoring tools and logging frameworks in distributed systems.
• Understanding of cloud-native, fault-tolerant architecture principles, including load balancing, clustering, and eliminating single points of failure.
• Knowledge of Terraform, PowerShell scripting, and crafting architecture diagrams using tools like Lucidchart.
  
  

Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain scalable web applications, APIs, and microservices using Python and Azure Platform Services.
• Build new applications and services while optimizing existing solutions.
• Refactor legacy components using modern, scalable platforms.
• Design, implement, and deploy microservices on AKS using Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and Azure DevOps YAML pipelines.
• Manage end-to-end deployments, including infrastructure setup, configuration, and monitoring.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Full-stack Engineers, QA, DevOps, and Product team, within an Agile SDLC.
• Decompose legacy applications components into modern microservices architecture.
• Write and maintain unit and integration tests and implement robust CI/CD pipelines.
• Design and manage JSON payloads and payload contexts.
• Engage in database schema design and management, including updating tables and rows for large datasets.
