Senior Full Stack Engineer (Rust, Radar Middleware, Disconnected Environments)

The Opportunity

Join the engineering team of a US advanced sensing technology company as a senior full stack engineer on its radar middleware. You will build the software that connects radar hardware to a web interface and passes real time object tracks to other services. The team is expanding the product's modularity and plugin support, so you will shape how customers extend it. The software runs in disconnected environments, including mobile units, so releases have to be right the first time. Fully remote from Latin America, US business hours.

What You'll Bring

1. Senior full stack experience, with the team looking at roughly 6 to 8 years, and strong Rust in production. You can show Rust you wrote, shipped and maintained.
2. Real experience building web UIs that sit on top of backend services, and the judgment to know where logic belongs.
3. Experience building and releasing software for disconnected or on prem environments, where you cannot push a hotfix whenever you like.
4. Plugin or integration design. You build interfaces that other people extend without breaking the core.
5. Testing discipline. You test releases thoroughly because reliability matters more than speed when updates are rare.
6. Self direction. You can onboard quickly with limited hand holding and keep your work visible every day.
7. Skilled AI use that streamlines your work rather than doing it for you. You can walk through and defend everything you submit.
8. Excellent written and verbal English.

What Sets You Apart

1. Experience with real time data streams, tracking or sensor data, or high rate telemetry.
2. Work with radar, robotics, defense, aerospace or other hardware connected software.
3. Experience with async Rust and common network protocols, such as UDP, gRPC, MQTT or WebSockets.
4. Packaging and shipping software for offline installs, embedded Linux or mobile units.
5. Prior contractor or consulting experience embedded in a US team.
