Senior Full-Stack Java Engineer, Spring Boot & Angular/React

We are looking for a Senior Full-Stack Java Engineer in Brussels, Belgium, with extensive experience in Java, Spring Boot, Angular, React and microservices architectures.

You will develop, integrate and maintain secure, scalable enterprise applications, combining strong back-end engineering expertise with modern front-end development and DevOps practices.

Brussels, Belgium – Hybrid – Maximum 2-hour driving distance – 12+ years of experience

Tasks and Responsibilities

• Design, develop and maintain full-stack enterprise applications using Java, Spring Boot, JavaScript, Angular and React.
• Develop and integrate REST APIs, web services and microservices, supporting interoperability across enterprise systems.
• Build and maintain application integrations using JSON, XML and CSV data formats.
• Design and optimize data access across relational and NoSQL databases, including PostgreSQL, MySQL and Oracle.
• Implement and maintain containerized applications using Docker and Kubernetes.
• Develop and improve CI/CD pipelines using Git, GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• Apply secure software development practices, including GDPR and data protection requirements.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams on technical design, implementation, testing and continuous application improvement.

Profile

• Bachelor or Master degree;
• 12+ years of professional full-stack software development experience, covering front-end and back-end engineering.
• 10+ years of experience with Java and Spring Boot.
• 8+ years of experience with REST APIs, integration services and JSON/XML/CSV data formats.
• 6+ years of experience with web services, SOA and microservices architectures.
• 5+ years of experience with JavaScript, Angular and React.
• 5+ years of experience with relational databases (PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle), NoSQL/document databases and secure software development.
• 4+ years of experience with Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD tools, Git, GitHub Actions and Jenkins.
• 5+ years of experience with Jira, Confluence or equivalent collaboration tools.
• Strong understanding of GDPR, data protection and secure application development.
• Ability to work in a hybrid arrangement in Brussels, while residing within a maximum two-hour driving distance.

Mandatory Certification

Candidates must hold at least one of the following certifications or an accepted equivalent:

• AWS Certified Developer – Associate
• Microsoft Certified: Azure Developer Associate
