Senior Full Stack Web Application Developer - React, Node, Next.js

We are looking for a senior web developer with at least 10 years web development experience . Working closely with the CTO and founding team, you will be contributing towards the development and design of a large web application in line with the detailed product roadmap. This will be a full stack role, so the ideal candidate will have experience of both front-end development (User Interface, building user input forms, etc), and back-end development (databases / API integrations). You will be comfortable working to an agreed specification and will be used to working to reasonable timeframes as part of a team. We are a small and agile team so you will have a degree of autonomy, however, we do expect you to be an engaged participant on our daily & weekly standups, and we expect you to contribute to our specification process. We have a detailed roadmap in place and we are hoping to find someone who can hit the ground running from the first month. Responsibilities Developing new features according to the roadmap. Designing and developing APIs. Ensuring cross-platform compatibility and responsive design. Contributing to the overall UI design & layout of new features. Developing front-end website architecture. Designing user interactions on app pages. Understanding and meeting the user requirements as part of the wider team. Staying abreast of developments in web applications and programming languages. Requirements Minimum 10 years experience in a developer role. Minimum 5 years React experience. Minimum 5 years Node.js experience. HTML/CSS API development experience Familiarity with database technology e.g. PostgreSQL / MySQL The ability to work to a specification as part of a small development team. Desirable Experience of working with B2B software. ERP / accounting / stock control / CRM / FinTech experience. Experience of manufacturing and/installation processes. UI/UX experience. Getting Started In The Role We are looking for someone who can integrate into the team and start to output useful code as quickly as possible, so with this in mind, we have an onboarding plan in place to help you get up to speed as quickly as possible. First day - Getting access to the repository & equipment set up, an overview of the software and tech stack. First week - Getting familiar with the system architecture, with an overview of functionality and the use cases / domain knowledge. Some pair programming with the dev team. First month - A better understanding of the customer use cases, detail on our roadmap, coding your first feature or page(s). Ongoing paired programming with the dev team.
