Salary: 1000 - 1280 PLN/MD + VAT (B2B)

Work Model: elastic hybrid – an office visit once a month in Warsaw, Kraków, or the Tricity area

Project

You will be involved in a large-scale, cloud-based software project for one of Poland’s leading organizations in the logistics and e-commerce industry. As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will work in an international engineering team focused on building highly scalable and highly available applications that solve real-world problems for millions of users. This is an opportunity to join a well-established and rapidly growing Polish business and contribute to the development of a new fintech initiative from its early stages.

Expected competences and knowledge

5+ years of commercial experience as a Software Engineer, including hands-on experience with Python and Node.js
Strong full-stack engineering experience across backend and frontend development
Experience designing and developing event-driven systems
Hands-on experience with React and/or Next.js
Experience with Kafka and event-driven architectures
Strong understanding of REST APIs and asynchronous communication
Experience with state machines and distributed systems patterns such as Saga, Outbox and Idempotency
Understanding of authorization flows, ledger and settlement processes
Good communication skills in English (min. B2 level)
Nice to have:
- Knowledge of software security and compliance requirements, including PCI DSS and PSD2
- Familiarity with KYC/KYB processes
- Experience working in international and cross-functional engineering teams
