Senior Fullstack Engineer

We are seeking a Senior Fullstack Engineer to design, build, and maintain scalable web applications and backend services in a microservices and event-driven environment. In this role, you will deliver features end to end, from responsive user interfaces in React or Angular to backend services built with Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or Python, while contributing to architectural decisions that improve the reliability, performance, and scalability of the platform.

You will work closely with architects, product managers, designers, and other engineers to turn business requirements into well-designed technical solutions. You will also help shape the event-driven architecture, using Kafka or cloud messaging services to enable reliable communication between distributed services.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design and implement event-driven architectures using Kafka or cloud messaging services such as AWS SNS/SQS, EventBridge, or Azure Service Bus.

• Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end features using React or Angular on the frontend and Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or Python on the backend.

• Build, maintain, and optimize microservices and serverless components, ensuring scalability, reliability, and maintainability.

• Develop, integrate, and maintain REST and GraphQL APIs.

• Design data models and optimize queries in PostgreSQL.

• Write clean, efficient, and well-tested TypeScript and backend code following established engineering standards.

• Participate in architectural decisions, technical design discussions, and code reviews.

• Troubleshoot, monitor, and resolve issues across frontend, backend, and distributed messaging components to ensure production reliability.

• Use AI-powered development tools to accelerate development, support testing and debugging, and improve code quality.

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to estimate, plan, and deliver solutions in an Agile environment while providing technical guidance and mentorship to other engineers.

• 7+ years of professional experience in fullstack software development.

• Strong experience with React or Angular and TypeScript.

• Hands-on backend development experience with at least one of the following: Node.js, Ruby on Rails, or Python.

• Experience designing, implementing, and consuming REST and GraphQL APIs.

• Solid experience with PostgreSQL, including data modeling and query optimization.

• Hands-on experience building microservices, serverless applications, and event-driven architectures using Kafka or cloud messaging services such as AWS SNS/SQS, EventBridge, or Azure Service Bus.

• Hands-on experience using AI-powered development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, GitHub Copilot, Cursor, or similar solutions to support software development, code generation, testing, debugging, and code optimization.

• Strong problem-solving and communication skills, with the ability to work independently, collaborate with distributed teams, and contribute effectively in an Agile environment.

Nice to Have:

• Experience with more than one of the backend technologies listed (Node.js, Ruby on Rails, Python).

• Experience with both React and Angular.

• Production experience with more than one messaging platform (e.g., Kafka and a cloud-native service).

• Experience with event-driven patterns such as event sourcing or CQRS.

• Experience with AI-native development practices, including agentic coding workflows and AI integrated throughout the development lifecycle.
