WE ARE HIRING: Senior Functional Consultant – CargoWise ERP Location: Colombo 15, Sri Lanka Employment Type: Full time Work Mode: Hybrid Industry: Logistics Technology /Digital Transformation Role Overview We are seeking an experienced and client-focused Senior Functional Consultant – CargoWise ERP to lead CargoWise One implementation, configuration, user training, managed services support, and process improvement initiatives for logistics and freight forwarding clients. The selected candidate will be responsible for understanding client requirements, configuring CargoWise modules, supporting customs compliance, delivering L2/L3 help desk support, maintaining project documentation, and ensuring high-quality service delivery across freight forwarding, warehousing, billing, and logistics operations. Key Responsibilities Lead CargoWise One implementation, configuration, user training, and client onboarding projects. Support CargoWise-related managed services delivery for logistics and freight forwarding clients. Configure and maintain CargoWise modules, including Forwarding, Warehouse Management, and Tariff & Rates. Support freight forwarding, warehousing, billing, and operational workflows through effective system configuration. Analyze client business processes and recommend practical improvements using CargoWise functionality. Gather business requirements from clients and translate them into system configuration and process solutions. Manage customs compliance activities, including US filings such as AES, ISF, AMS, and In-Bond. Support European import and export declaration processes and related compliance requirements. Resolve operational queries related to customs compliance, CargoWise workflows, and logistics processes. Provide L2 and L3 help desk support for CargoWise users and client teams. Troubleshoot functional issues, configuration errors, user queries, and operational system challenges. Maintain accurate project documentation, process notes, configuration records, and support logs. Work closely with clients, internal delivery teams, technical teams, and project stakeholders. Provide advisory support on best practices for CargoWise usage and logistics process optimization. Stay updated on CargoWise enhancements, module updates, and industry best practices. Ensure timely delivery of high-quality client services in a service-oriented and delivery-focused environment. Support continuous improvement initiatives across consulting, implementation, support, and managed services activities. Maintain strong client relationships through professional communication, timely updates, and reliable delivery. Perform any other functional consulting, ERP implementation, or support-related duties assigned by management. Candidate Profile Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems , or a related field. Certified CargoWise Professional certification will be preferred or required. Minimum 5 years of experience in freight forwarding, logistics, CargoWise consulting, ERP consulting, or related logistics technology roles. Proven experience as a CargoWise Functional Consultant or similar role. Strong working knowledge of the CargoWise Forwarding module . Strong working knowledge of the CargoWise Warehouse Management module . Experience with Tariff & Rates configuration within CargoWise. Experience supporting customs brokerage compliance across US and European operations . Proven experience supporting BPO, logistics service, freight forwarding, or managed services environments. Good understanding of freight forwarding, warehousing, billing, customs compliance, and logistics operational workflows. Strong process analysis and business process improvement capability. Strong project documentation skills. Experience in client-facing consulting, advisory, implementation, or support roles. Ability to provide L2/L3 support and resolve complex functional queries. Exposure to quality management methodologies such as Six Sigma and continuous improvement principles will be preferred. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. Excellent client-facing and stakeholder-management skills. Strong consulting and advisory capability. Strong organizational and documentation skills. Ability to work in a service-oriented and delivery-focused environment. Commitment to continuous improvement and quality standards.
