We're looking for an experienced and versatile Senior Gameplay Programmer to join the team working on P12, a new IP from 11 bit studios. This is one of the projects marking the beginning of a new chapter for our studio, where we aim to combine engaging gameplay with something that has always been at the heart of our games - authentic emotions and experiences that stay with players long after they've finished playing.
If programming is more than just writing code to you, if you enjoy exploring, experimenting, and finding creative solutions to complex challenges, and if you're genuinely excited about getting involved in a project and having a real impact on its direction, we'd love to meet you.
Hybrid work in our Warsaw office is preferred for this role.
What will you be doing on a day-to-day basis?
Design, implement, and maintain gameplay systems and mechanics (in C++, supported by Blueprints).
Collaborate closely with game designers, animators, and artists throughout feature prototyping and production.
Autonomously architect gameplay systems with an emphasis on modularity, performance, and code readability.
Participate in task estimation, technical risk assessments, and production planning.
Profile performance, optimize CPU/memory usage, and debug complex gameplay logic issues.
Develop and maintain custom editor tools and plugins in Unreal Engine to support production.
Partner with UI/UX designers and 2D artists to implement UI logic.
What will help you succeed in this role?
At least 4 years of professional experience as a programmer.
At least one shipped game title.
Strong proficiency in C++.
Strong proficiency in Unreal Engine (or another modern game engine).
Good understanding of game engine architecture.
Ability to debug and profile code effectively.
High autonomy in task planning, estimation, and execution.
Good communication skills, both with engineering peers and non-technical team members.
Nice to have
Experience participating in the final stages of game production (optimization, certification, polish, bug fixing).
Experience extending the Unreal Engine editor (Slate, Editor Utility Widgets / Blueprints, custom editor modules or plugins).
Experience implementing game UI in Unreal Engine
