Senior Global HR Specialist(6 months FTC)

Job Description

So, who are we?

IG Group is a FTSE 100 fintech operating across five continents, serving over 1.3m customers and handling billions of dollars in transactions – built on scale, trust, and proof. We didn't pivot to innovation; it's how we've always operated. What that means for the people who work here is real: genuinely complex problems to solve, the technology and resources to tackle them properly, and the kind of scope that's rare in established businesses.

The bar is high – bring a curious and forward-thinking mindset and we'll give you the platform to define what comes next.

Join us at IG – the future gets built here.

Your team

You’ll join People Services, part of People Excellence at IG, supporting 3,000+ colleagues across the globe.

Your role in the Team's Success

This is a 6-month fixed-term role focused on HR transformation projects. You’ll move our HR knowledge from OneNote into ServiceNow and test it thoroughly. You’ll also support the rollout of new HR systems. You need to be productive from week one and take full ownership of what you deliver.

What you'll do

  • Migrate HR knowledge from OneNote to ServiceNow, recreating each item accurately, in the right structure, and in clear language for employees and managers and HR
  • Review the existing content as you migrate it, and flag outdated, incomplete, or conflicting procedures with a proposed fix
  • Test every recreated knowledge item end to end, covering accuracy, completeness, navigation, and search. Log and track defects through to retest and sign-off
  • Keep a clear record of migration status and testing results, and report progress and risks to your manager regularly
  • Support the implementation of new HR systems, including test preparation, test execution, issue logging, and user acceptance testing
  • Work with HR specialists, subject matter experts, and system owners across India, Poland, and the UK to validate content and resolve issues.

What you'll need

  • You work out what to do when something doesn’t fit. Source documents are often incomplete or inconsistent. When you hit a gap, you work out the right answer with the relevant expert or escalate with your analysis and a proposed solution. You never skip an item or carry it over unchecked.
  • You own the outcome. You deliver your workstream to the agreed deadline and sign it off with evidence. If something is unowned, blocked, or at risk, you pick it up or raise it immediately.
  • You flag risks early. If a deadline is at risk, you say so straight away and propose an alternative.
  • You test like the end user. You ask whether a colleague with no HR background could follow the content and get the right answer, and you fix it if they couldn’t.

Essential

  • 4+ years of hands-on HR operations or HR shared services experience, ideally in a multi-country environment
  • Hands-on experience with ServiceNow, Salesforce, or a similar case management or knowledge platform
  • Hands-on experience with Workday or SuccessFactors
  • Experience in testing or quality assurance, such as test cases, UAT, defect logging, or retesting
  • Strong written English (C1), with the ability to turn complex procedures into clear employee-facing content
  • Proven track record of working independently from incomplete or ambiguous inputs.

Nice to have

  • Experience building or maintaining a knowledge base or self-service content
  • Experience with an HR system implementation or migration
  • Experience supporting APAC or EMEA HR processes
  • Experience in audits or documentation reviews.

The Perks

It really is more than a job. We think like a start-up, but we deliver like a FTSE 100 — so the bar is high, and we won't pretend otherwise. We work hybrid, which means three days in the office. We’ll recognize your talent and make sure that you can still have a life – at work, and outside of it. Networks, committees, awards, sports and social clubs, mentorships, volunteering opportunities, extra time off… the list goes on.
