WHAT CHALLENGE WILL YOU BE TAKING ON?

As part of the team, you will work on satellite navigation projects within the Galileo and SouthPAN ecosystem, participating in the development of tools and capabilities to test new services, monitor, and experiment with the Galileo system, including its second-generation developments.

Your main responsibilities would include:

• Defining and conducting performance analyses of Galileo and other GNSS systems under nominal conditions and during specific campaigns or events.
• Evaluating signal quality and service performance using data from reference stations, receivers, and GNSS products.
• Developing, adapting, and validating algorithms, tools, and processing chains for system monitoring and evaluation activities.
• Investigate service anomalies and degradations, identifying their causes and analyzing their impact on users.
• Participate in the validation of new capabilities, products, and evolutions of the Galileo system, including future generations of the service.
• Prepare technical reports, indicators, and recommendations for clients and relevant organizations.
• Coordinate activities with software development, operations, and data analysis teams, as well as collaborating entities.
• Present results and technical conclusions at project meetings with institutional clients and other stakeholders.
• Support the planning and tracking of project tasks, risks, deadlines, and deliverables.

WHAT DO WE NEED IN OUR TEAM?

For this role, we are seeking graduates in Telecommunications Engineering, Geodesy, Geomatics, Physics, or related disciplines, with training and an interest in GNSS systems, satellite navigation, performance analysis, and the evolution of Galileo services.

We are looking for professionals with experience in:

• GNSS, satellite navigation, or positioning systems (knowledge of Galileo’s operating principles and the factors affecting the performance of GNSS signals and services; GNSS performance analysis, navigation data processing, or system and product validation)
• Ability to interpret monitoring data, identify anomalous behavior, and assess its potential impact on the service or users.
• Experience in preparing technical documentation and presenting results.
• Ability to coordinate technical activities and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and clients.
• C++ and Python software development

We will also value knowledge and experience in monitoring and validating GNSS systems, particularly Galileo; signal and performance analysis; geodesy; and navigation data processing; as well as participation in experimental projects, test beds, and the development of new capabilities for satellite navigation systems.
