We’re a fast-moving, ever-evolving, stable organization with deep roots and a bold vision: to transform the way Canadians experience benefits. We combine agility with long-term stability to create meaningful impact.

Whether you’ve been here fifteen years or fifteen days, you’ll notice right away: our people are genuinely invested in one another’s success and delivering exceptional experiences to our clients and plan members.
About the Role
The Senior Governance, Risk & Compliance Coordinator will support the effective administration and analysis of legal, compliance, complaint, privacy, risk, and governance matters across the GroupHEALTH Family of Companies. Through accurate records, evidence review, proactive follow-up, and practical recommendations, the Senior GRC Coordinator strengthens controls, transparency, regulatory readiness, and informed decision-making. Reporting to the Chief Transformation Officer with a dotted line to the General Counsel, Legal & Compliance, this role serves as a key bridge between GroupHEALTH’s executive team, our parent company (Munich Reinsurance), and divisional leadership.
This is a hybrid role based out of our Surrey office. Remote work and other locations will not be considered.
What to Expect in Your First 3 Months:
- First 30 Days: Build a working understanding of the GroupHEALTH Family of Companies structure, the GRC operating model, key stakeholders, processes, and escalation pathways.
- First 60 Days: Gain control of active legal, compliance, complaint, privacy, risk, and governance matters, including key records, deadlines, actions, and reporting requirements. Build effective working relationships across the GRC Team, Legal, the Complaints Office, business units, and other key stakeholders.
- First 90 Days: Establish reliable routines for intake, tracking, documentation, follow-up, escalation, and status reporting.
What You’ll Do
In collaboration with the Chief Transformation Officer, General Counsel, GRC Team, Complaints Office, and business leaders:
Legal Administration
- Coordinate the intake, routing, tracking, and follow-up of legal and contract matters
- Maintain current, confidential, complete, and accessible legal matter, contract, filing, and corporate records
- Coordinate document collection, external counsel requests, approvals, meetings, and correspondence
Compliance Administration
- Support licensing, regulatory filings, policy administration, training, attestations, audits, and compliance reporting
- Maintain compliance calendars, records, and evidence, and track filings, renewals, approvals, deadlines, and remediation through to completion
- Support compliance incident and regulatory change administration
Complaint Administration
- Monitor approved complaint intake channels and ensure matters are promptly logged, acknowledged, and routed according to approved processes
- Coordinate with the Complaints Office, Legal, business units, and other teams to gather information, documentation, and timelines, and compile a detailed, accurate case history for review by the accountable officer
- Maintain complaint registers and files, and track deadlines, correspondence, evidence, milestones, corrective actions, referrals, notifications, status updates, and closure requirements
- Reconcile complaint records and escalate overdue, urgent, or potentially reportable matters
- Provide administrative support. This role does not conduct investigations, make findings, interpret requirements, or decide outcomes
Governance and GRC Support
- Coordinate committee schedules, agendas, meeting materials, minutes, reporting, decisions, and action logs
- Support privacy and risk intake, documentation, tracking, audits, and remediation follow-up
- Review GRC records and supporting evidence to identify control gaps, recurring issues, emerging trends, and matters requiring further review or escalation
- Support third-party risk reviews by coordinating due diligence, organizing evidence, tracking findings and remediation actions, and escalating gaps
- Prepare routine dashboards and status reports across legal, compliance, complaints, privacy, and risk
- Maintain organized, protected, and audit-ready GRC records and repositories
- Provide practical recommendations to strengthen controls, reporting, workflows, and decision-making
What We’re Looking For
- Post-secondary education in business, legal administration, compliance, risk, or a related field
- Paralegal education or experience is an asset
- Two or more years of relevant administrative or coordination experience
- Experience managing confidential records, competing deadlines, and multiple stakeholders
- Experience in a regulated industry, or supporting legal, compliance, complaints, risk, or governance activities, is an asset
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including SharePoint
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with sound judgment and discretion

- Accountable, with Strong Follow-Through - You take ownership of your commitments, follow up on time, and flag delays, barriers, or missing information early through the appropriate channels.
