Trupanion is a leading provider of medical insurance for cats and dogs in North America. Our mission is to help loving, responsible pet owners budget and care for their pets. At Trupanion, we offer a collaborative, casual, and pet-friendly environment where everyone is encouraged to be themselves.
Position Summary
We are looking for a Senior Growth & Campaign Manager to lead organic subscription expansion across key member-led growth channels—specifically our Refer-a-Friend, Add-a-Pet, and Member Affinity Perks (TruTreats) programs.
In this role, you will own the end-to-end strategy, execution, and optimization of multi-channel lifecycle campaigns designed to drive member loyalty, increase customer lifetime value (LTV), and lower overall customer acquisition cost (CAC). You will manage an editorial calendar, run experiment-driven campaigns, optimize referral tech stacks, and lead a high-performing team to deliver measurable revenue growth across our subscription base.
This position is open to candidates in the Seattle, WA area. You will have a hybrid remote/in-office schedule where you will work from our casual, pet-friendly office at least 3 days a week.
Key Responsibilities
Growth & Lifecycle Strategy
- Own Member-Led Acquisition: Lead strategy and execution for high-converting referral and expansion loops (Refer-a-Friend, Add-a-Pet), directly driving subscriber acquisition and repeat conversion.
- Loyalty & Perks Program Management: Drive engagement and retention through our member perks program (TruTreats) and local community/event marketing initiatives.
- Experimentation & Optimization: Conduct ongoing A/B testing across incentives, copy, creative, and channel mix to optimize conversion rates, referral velocity, and program ROI.
Integrated Campaign Operations
- Campaign Roadmap & Editorial Calendar: Define, manage, and execute the annual member-facing promotional calendar across lifecycle channels (Email, SMS, Push, Direct Mail, Paid Social, and In-App).
- Referral Platform Management: Oversee the operational workflow, integration, and performance of our referral platform within the marketing automation stack.
- Cross-Functional Alignment: Partner closely with Product, Analytics, Creative, and Member Success teams to build seamless end-to-end customer journeys and integrated promotional touchpoints.
Team Leadership & Analytics
- Team Management & Mentorship: Direct and develop a team of growth and campaign marketers, fostering a culture of continuous learning, rigorous testing, and accountability.
- Performance Reporting: Track, analyze, and report on core growth metrics (Conversion Rates, Referral Rate, Engagement, and Campaign Revenue) to senior leadership.
Core Competencies & Mindset
- Data-Driven & Experiment-Focused: Proven ability to pair creative strategy with rigorous analytics to outperform campaign benchmarks and deliver positive unit economics.
- Cross-Functional Execution: Masterful project management skills with a track record of driving cross-functional alignment in fast-paced environments.
- Brand & Creative Storyteller: Passionate about building messaging and campaigns that build long-term brand equity and member affinity.
Qualifications
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
- Experience: 6+ years of progressive experience in growth marketing, lifecycle marketing, or integrated campaign management, with a track record of driving measurable revenue growth.
- People Management: 2+ years of direct team management experience.
- Subscription / B2C Focus: Demonstrated experience scaling referral, loyalty, or multi-product expansion programs within a B2C subscription or SaaS model.
- Technical Skills: Hands-on experience with referral software platforms, CRM/marketing automation systems (e.g., Braze, Klaviyo, Salesforce Marketing Cloud), and analytics tools (e.g., Amplitude, Mixpanel, Looker, Tableau).
- Industry Experience (Bonus): Prior experience in pet care, insurtech, fintech, or other regulated subscription industries is a strong plus.

- The base salary range for this position is $110,000 - $130,000 USD on a full-time schedule.
- Along with base salary, Trupanion employees may be eligible for monthly bonuses.
