Purpose of role
Help some of the UK’s most ambitious financial services, fintech and cybersecurity businesses take their next step on the global stage. Leading sector recruitment and account management across Grow London Global and our new UK-wide scale-up programme, you will connect companies with the customers, investment and partnerships they need to grow.
You will work directly with founders, CEOs and senior leadership teams across banking and payments, insurance and insurtech, wealth and asset management, lending, regtech and financial infrastructure, alongside cybersecurity businesses serving financial services and other industries. Getting to know their businesses and ambitions, you will help them tackle challenges ranging from winning institutional customers and building distribution partnerships to navigating regulated markets and expanding internationally.
You will lead and develop a team of Growth Managers across London and the UK, bringing together sector expertise, regional knowledge and strong business networks. Together, you will recruit and support companies across the country, including London businesses participating in Grow London Global, and provide practical support tailored to each company’s growth journey.

Key Tasks

Strategy

  • Guide companies through selection and onboarding, working with Operations to ensure they meet the relevant criteria and understand how to make the most of the programme.
  • Engage female and underrepresented founders and work with regional networks to widen access to opportunities.
Account management and delivery
  • Build trusted relationships with a portfolio of financial services, fintech and cybersecurity businesses across the UK, working directly with founders and senior leaders on their commercial and international growth.
  • Understand each company’s business model, customer traction, investment needs and regulatory considerations, identifying where support can make the greatest difference.
  • Develop practical growth plans with clear actions and milestones, reviewing progress regularly and adapting support as companies develop.

  • Help cybersecurity businesses reach relevant buyers, including security leaders, and build relationships with channel partners, technology providers and corporate customers.
  • Bring in specialist advisers to help companies address relevant licensing, regulatory, compliance, security assurance and market access challenges.
  • Create sector activities that respond to company needs, from corporate meetings and investor sessions to founder roundtables, specialist workshops and peer learning.
  • Plan and deliver international trade missions and visits with market teams, giving companies access to relevant customers, financial services ecosystems and commercial opportunities.
  • Work with regional partners to connect companies with local expertise and UK-wide networks.
  • Capture company progress and feedback, using the evidence to improve our support and share stories of business success.
