This is a remote position.

Position Summary: Whip rents cars to rideshare and delivery drivers by the week, so they can drive for Uber, Lyft, Instacart, Amazon Flex and other platforms, with insurance and maintenance included. We operate in Atlanta, Baltimore, Boston, Chicago, Dallas, Miami, Orlando, Philadelphia, Richmond, Tampa and Washington, DC. Our growth depends on getting qualified drivers to sign up, pick up a car and keep renting. As our Senior Growth Marketing Manager, you will own that engine end to end: set and spend the paid budget, win local search in every market, launch new cities, and show leadership exactly which dollars turned into drivers and revenue. This is a hands-on role. For now, you are the marketing team, building campaigns, tracking and reports yourself, with a path to build and lead the team as we grow.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

Paid Acquisition

  • Own the paid media budget across Google, Meta, TikTok, YouTube and other channels; plan, launch and optimize every campaign yourself.
  • Target drivers by market, platform (Uber, Lyft, delivery) and vehicle interest (EV, hybrid, Uber Comfort/XL).
  • Shift spend weekly toward the markets, channels and vehicle classes with the lowest cost per activated driver.

SEO & Local Search

  • Grow organic sign-ups through technical SEO, city landing pages and content that ranks for searches like "rent a car for Uber" in each market.
  • Manage Google Business Profiles for every location.

Funnel & Conversion

  • Improve the path from ad click to application, approval, vehicle pickup and repeat rental.
  • Run A/B tests on landing pages, offers (switch-and-save, first-month promos) and sign-up forms.
  • Partner with operations on lead follow-up, retention and referral campaigns (email, SMS, driver referrals), aligning spend with fleet availability by market.

Market Launches

  • Build and run the go-to-market plan for each new city, from pre-launch waitlists to launch-week campaigns.

Analytics & Reporting

  • Set up and maintain conversion tracking, attribution and dashboards (GA4, Google Tag Manager, ad pixels, CRM).
  • Report weekly to leadership on spend, leads, cost per lead, cost per activated driver, return on ad spend and revenue influenced, in plain language with clear next steps.
  • Manage agencies, freelancers and vendors where they are the faster or cheaper option.

Qualifications Required:

  • 6+ years in performance or growth marketing, including 3+ years personally managing a paid media budget of $50,000+ per month.
  • Hands-on expertise in Google Ads and Meta Ads; builds and optimizes campaigns personally.
  • Proven track record of lowering cost per lead or acquisition, with results you can walk through in detail.
  • Working knowledge of technical and local SEO.
  • Strong analytics skills: GA4, Google Tag Manager, conversion tracking and spreadsheet modeling.
  • Experience running marketing across multiple cities or regions.
  • Clear, direct communication with executives; comfortable taking direction and pushing back with data.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in rideshare, gig economy, mobility, auto rental or another local, two-sided marketplace.
  • Experience recruiting gig or hourly workers through paid channels.
  • Bilingual (English/Spanish) or experience marketing to multilingual audiences.
  • Experience with lifecycle tools (HubSpot, Braze, Klaviyo or similar) and SMS marketing.
  • Experience launching new markets from zero.

Salary: $130,000 - $160,000; depending on experience
