📜 Context As part of the development of next-generation satellite communication solutions for the aerospace and aviation industries, we are looking for a Senior Hardware Electronics Engineer to join an international R&D team. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of complex embedded electronic hardware used in cutting-edge communication systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Systems, FPGA, RF, Mechanical, Thermal, and Manufacturing Engineers to deliver innovative, high-reliability products that meet demanding industry standards. 📜 Context As part of the development of next-generation satellite communication solutions for the aerospace and aviation industries, we are looking for a Senior Hardware Electronics Engineer to join an international R&D team. In this role, you will contribute to the design and development of complex embedded electronic hardware used in cutting-edge communication systems. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including Systems, FPGA, RF, Mechanical, Thermal, and Manufacturing Engineers to deliver innovative, high-reliability products that meet demanding industry standards. 🎯 Responsibilities 🔹 Hardware Design * Define the hardware architecture of complex electronic boards. * Design analog and digital schematics. * Select electronic components based on system requirements. * Define PCB stack-ups and routing constraints. * Supervise PCB layout activities in collaboration with layout engineers. 🔹 Validation & Qualification * Perform hardware bring-up and board validation. * Troubleshoot hardware issues and conduct Root Cause Analysis. * Participate in qualification and verification campaigns. * Ensure successful product validation prior to production release. 🔹 Manufacturing Support * Work closely with suppliers and manufacturing teams. * Apply Design for Manufacturing (DFM) best practices. * Support products throughout the manufacturing and industrialization phases. 🔹 Cross-functional Collaboration * Collaborate closely with: * Systems Engineering * FPGA Engineering * RF Engineering * Mechanical Engineering * Thermal Engineering * Manufacturing teams * Participate in technical reviews and engineering decision-making. * Share technical expertise and contribute to continuous product improvement. 💼 Your Profile * Master's degree or Engineering degree in Electronics or a related field. * Minimum 8 years of experience in hardware electronics design. * Proven experience owning the complete development of complex electronic boards. * Strong background in analog and digital electronics. * Excellent knowledge of Altium Designer . * Experience defining PCB stack-ups and routing rules. * Solid experience in hardware validation, debugging, and Root Cause Analysis. * Knowledge of switching power supplies (Buck, Flyback, LLC, etc.). * Experience working with FPGA-based hardware integration (HDL development not required). * Understanding of EMI/EMC constraints. * Experience in Aerospace, Space, Defense, or other highly regulated industries is a strong advantage. * RF experience is considered a plus but is not mandatory. 🤝 Soft Skills * Strong sense of ownership and accountability. * Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities. * Strong communication and interpersonal skills. * Ability to work effectively in multidisciplinary teams. * Technical curiosity and continuous learning mindset. * Confidence to challenge technical decisions constructively. 🏆 Position Details * 📍 Location: Lausanne, Switzerland * 🕒 Employment Type: Full-time (100%) * 📅 Start Date: Flexible * 🏠 Hybrid working options available
