The Senior Head of Sales for Vertical Solutions plays a key role in identifying, developing, and closing commercial opportunities across priority business segments. The role drives pipeline growth, supports local country teams, and strengthens sales execution by coordinating across segment marketing, partnerships, and product teams. The Sr Head of Sales ensures that strategic priorities are translated into tangible commercial results across geographies.


This is a highly visible international position with significant exposure to senior stakeholders, country leadership teams and strategic partners across Europe.


What We’re Looking For


Sales Development & Opportunity Management

  • Identify, qualify, and develop new Vertical Solutions opportunities across multiple markets together with local Vertical Solutions teams and the Group Commercial team.
  • Support and guide local sales teams in building and advancing pipeline aligned with Group strategy.
  • Lead or co-lead high-value or strategic deals, especially in markets with limited local capabilities.
  • Ensure strong opportunity tracking, forecasting accuracy, and pipeline hygiene.


Cross-Country Coordination

  • Act as a central point of contact between Group and country teams for VS sales activities.
  • Organize and lead regular pipeline and performance review meetings with countries.
  • Ensure alignment on priorities, key deals, and resource allocation.


Business Plan Execution & Performance Tracking

  • Monitor execution of the Vertical Solutions business plan across countries.
  • Track performance against KPIs (revenue, pipeline, win rate, margins).
  • Identify gaps and propose corrective actions to ensure targets are met.


Sales Channels & Partnerships

  • Collaborate closely with the Segment Marketing & Partnership team to develop and activate new sales channels (partners, integrators, ecosystems) and support joint go-to-market initiatives.
  • Contribute to building partnerships that drive scalable growth.


Sales Collateral & Go-to-Market

  • Support adaptation and local relevance of sales materials, value propositions, and use cases.
  • Provide structured feedback from countries to improve messaging and positioning.
  • Ensure consistency of commercial messaging across markets.


Education

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Sales, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field.
  • A Masters degree will be valuable.


Languages

  • English: Advanced, must-have.
  • Other languages: Intermediate, valuable.


Tools & Systems

  • Microsoft Office / Microsoft 365: Advanced
  • Salesforce: Intermediate (Valuable)


Experience

  • 7+ years’ experience in a senior B2B sales leadership role across multiple countries or regions managing complex, multi-stakeholder sales cycles.
  • Demonstrated success in developing and executing sales strategies that deliver sustainable revenue growth.
  • Experience leading complex, high-value solution sales and strategic commercial negotiations.
  • Background in Vertical Solutions (e.g., smart cities, transport, energy, etc.) is a strong advantage.
  • Experience working with indirect sales channels, partners, and ecosystems.

  • Strong analytical skills with experience managing sales performance through KPIs and forecasting.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and influencing skills.
  • Willingness to travel internationally as required.
  • Strong commercial acumen and opportunity structuring skills.
  • Ability to influence and coordinate without direct authority across geographies.
  • Knowledge of sales processes, CRM tools, and pipeline management.
  • Ability to translate strategy into execution.
  • Proactive, hands-on, and results-driven mindset.
  • Strong collaboration across functions and cultures.
  • Structured approach to managing complexity.
