The opportunity
The Senior HR Advisor is responsible for supporting the effective use of people data, HR systems, reporting and operational processes across a global management consultancy. Working closely with the HR leadership team, regional HR colleagues, Finance, IT and wider business stakeholders, the role will provide accurate, secure and actionable people insights, while driving continuous improvement across HR operations, data quality and employee lifecycle processes.
This is a newly created role, offering an experienced HR professional the opportunity to take ownership of HR systems and operational processes during an exciting period of growth for Proxima, with the scope to shape and improve how HR operations support the wider business.
Key Responsibilities:
• Lead the development, maintenance and continuous improvement of HR dashboards, reports and management information, providing clear insight into workforce trends, organisational metrics and people risks
• Partner with HR and business stakeholders to understand reporting requirements, define data outputs and translate complex people data into practical, decision-ready insights
• Oversee core HR operational processes across the employee lifecycle, ensuring processes are efficient, consistent, well-controlled and aligned to global ways of working
• Act as a subject matter expert for HR data, reporting, HR systems and operational processes, providing guidance and escalation support to HR colleagues and stakeholders
• Maintain and improve data quality, integrity and governance across HR systems, identifying issues, root causes and opportunities to strengthen data structures and reporting accuracy
• Produce regular and ad hoc HR reporting, including headcount, attrition, diversity, performance, absence, compensation and workforce planning data, ensuring outputs are timely, accurate and appropriately contextualised
• Support global HR projects, system enhancements and process improvement initiatives, including requirements gathering, testing, implementation, communication and adoption
• Work with IT, Finance and other functions to improve integrations, reporting workflows, data controls and automation opportunities
• Ensure sensitive people data is handled securely and confidentially, with appropriate access controls, escalation routes and compliance with data protection requirements
• Monitor operational performance and service delivery, identifying trends, risks and improvement opportunities across HR processes
• Develop guidance, templates and process documentation to support consistent HR operations across regions and teams
• Provide coaching and support to HR colleagues on data interpretation, reporting tools, process standards and operational best practice
What we are looking for:
Experience and qualifications
• Demonstrable HR operations, HR systems, people analytics or HR reporting experience, ideally within a global, professional services or management consultancy environment
• Experience working with senior HR and business stakeholders to define reporting needs, analyse workforce data and present insights clearly
• Strong understanding of HR processes across the employee lifecycle, including onboarding, contractual changes, absence, performance, compensation, leavers and organisational changes
• Experience using HR information systems and reporting tools; familiarity with tools such as Power BI, Tableau, Excel, SQL, Workday or similar systems would be advantageous
• Experience improving data quality, process controls, automation or operational effectiveness within an HR function
• Strong working knowledge of confidentiality, data protection and the appropriate handling of sensitive employee information
• CIPD qualification or equivalent HR experience is desirable
Knowledge, skills and behaviours
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data, identify trends and explain findings in a concise and meaningful way
• Ability to balance operational delivery with continuous improvement, prioritising effectively across multiple deadlines and competing demands
• Discreet, pragmatic and solutions-focused, with sound judgement when handling confidential or sensitive matters
• Collaborative and service-oriented, with a willingness to support colleagues while also challenging existing ways of working where improvements can be made
• Excellent attention to detail, with a commitment to accuracy, data integrity and robust process management
• Confident stakeholder management skills, with the ability to build credibility across HR, Finance, IT and business teams
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to produce clear reports, dashboards, process notes and stakeholder updates
• Commercial awareness and the ability to understand the needs of a fast-paced, global consultancy environment
