As a trusted advisor, you will support the Building Construction portfolio and provide guidance across workforce planning, employee relations, performance management, talent management, organizational change, and employee engagement. You will work collaboratively with HR Centres of Excellence and Shared Services teams to bring enterprise programs to life while adapting solutions to meet the unique needs of the business.

Essential Responsibilities:

  • Partner with leaders on workforce planning, performance management, career development, employee engagement, talent management, inclusion and diversity, and other key people initiatives.
  • Provide guidance on complex and sensitive employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, workplace investigations, performance concerns, and organizational changes.
  • Analyze workforce data and trends to identify opportunities, anticipate business needs, and support data-informed people decisions.
  • Partner with business leaders through organizational growth, new operating models, changing workforce requirements, and entry into new markets.
  • Lead and support change management initiatives, helping leaders and employees successfully navigate and sustain organizational change.
  • Collaborate closely with HR Centres of Excellence and Shared Services, including Talent Acquisition, Total Rewards, and Talent Management, to deliver consistent and effective HR programs and solutions.
  • Support the implementation and communication of enterprise-wide HR programs and initiatives within the business.
  • Participate in and, where appropriate, lead HR projects and initiatives that support broader organizational priorities.

Qualifications:

  • Diploma or degree in Human Resources Management, Business, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 6 years of progressive HR experience, including HR Business Partner experience within a large or complex organization.
  • Demonstrated experience advising and influencing senior operational leaders in a consultative business-partnering capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of HR practices across employee relations, performance management, talent management, workforce planning, employee engagement, and organizational change.
  • Demonstrated experience handling complex and sensitive employee relations matters and workplace investigations.
  • Strong knowledge of applicable employment standards and human rights legislation.
  • Experience using workforce data and analytics to identify trends, provide insights, and support business decisions.
  • Proven ability to lead and support organizational change; change management certification is considered an asset.
  • Strong coaching, facilitation, conflict resolution, relationship management, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the confidence and credibility to influence and challenge leaders when appropriate.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced, operational environment.

Work Conditions:

  • This is a hybrid role, combining remote work, office-based work, and regular in-person support at operational and project locations.
  • Regular travel throughout the Greater Toronto Area (GTA) will be required to support leaders, employees, and project/site teams.
  • Occasional travel outside the GTA may be required based on business needs.
