Senior Hydromechanical Systems Engineer

We are actively recruiting for a Professional Senior, Engineering – Hydromechanical supporting premier business aircraft programs. This position offers 100% remote work for qualified candidates in Canada or the United States (primary Canadian facility in Dorval/Montreal, QC).

Here is a quick snapshot of the mandate:

• Role: Professional Senior, Engineering – Hydromechanical
• Scope: Lead the specification, design, integration, analysis, modification, and airworthiness certification of aircraft hydro-mechanical systems—including flight control actuation, hydraulic systems, and landing gear.

• Key Responsibilities:
• Coordinate product development and integration milestones between system suppliers and cross-functional work packages.
• Review supplier analyses and validate requirements and system performance through design reviews, rig tests, and aircraft flight testing.
• Define, author, and execute qualification and certification test plans, investigate test findings, and prepare certification compliance reports.
• Liaise with stress, loads, simulation, and reliability, maintainability & safety (RM&S) engineering teams.

• Core Qualifications:
• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering.
• Minimum of 7 to 10 years of experience in the design, integration, development, and certification of aircraft hydro-mechanical systems.
• Cognizant of civil airworthiness regulations and qualification processes.
• Familiarity with tools like CATIA, Matlab, or Simulink is considered an asset.
• Strong technical writing and communication skills in English.
