Senior Information Technology Support Engineer

Are you an experienced 2nd/3rd Line IT Support Engineer who enjoys solving the technical problems that others escalate?

We’re partnering with an established technology services business looking for a Senior IT Support Engineer to join its technical team. This is a hands-on engineering position, not a management role, and would suit someone who wants to remain technically involved while becoming a trusted escalation point for other engineers.

You’ll work across a multi-client environment, taking ownership of complex incidents that cannot be resolved at service desk level and troubleshooting issues across Microsoft cloud, endpoint and network environments.

What you’ll be working with

• Microsoft 365 administration and troubleshooting
• Microsoft Entra ID / Azure AD
• Microsoft Intune and endpoint/device management
• Microsoft Azure administration
• Advanced 2nd and 3rd line escalations
• Routing, firewalls, VPNs and VLANs
• Independent diagnosis and resolution of complex infrastructure issues
• Supporting junior engineers as a technical escalation point
• Working across multiple customer environments

What we're looking for

You’ll need strong, demonstrable 2nd and 3rd line support experience, ideally gained within an MSP or multi-client environment.

We’re particularly interested in engineers who can confidently take ownership of an escalation, investigate the root cause and drive it through to resolution without needing significant technical guidance.

Experience with PowerShell scripting, Power Platform automation, Microsoft 365 security hardening, penetration testing, ISO 27001 or Cyber Essentials would be highly advantageous.
