Senior Insurance Accounting & Cash Application Consultant

Overview

We are looking for an experienced Senior Insurance Accounting & Cash Application Consultant for our client on a project basis. This role is fully remote.

Responsibilities

• Manage and improve premium receivable and cash application processes, including agency-billed premiums.
• Support premium and commission accounting, reconciliations, and resolution of complex receivable issues.
• Evaluate lockbox, billing, and cash application workflows and identify opportunities to improve accuracy, efficiency, and scalability.
• Analyze large datasets to investigate variances, reconcile transactions, and identify operational or accounting issues.
• Assess existing controls and design improved accounting and operational controls around billing, receivables, and cash application.
• Partner with Accounting, Finance, Operations, and Technology teams to drive process improvement and automation initiatives.
• Translate accounting requirements and business rules into clear functional requirements, procedures, and process documentation that developers can automate.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in accounting, finance, or other related fields
• 5+ years of of relevant P&C Insruance Accounting experience
• Qualified applicants must reside in the continental U.S.
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States now and in the future. Verification of employment eligibility will be required at the time of hire. Visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
