Senior Interface/Config Engineer - webMethods (Finance/Invoicing)

We are seeking a Senior Interface/Config Engineer with webMethods expertise to join a complex separation and standalone migration program for an Animal Nutrition and Health (ANH) business carve-out. This initiative involves migrating 600 applications across On-Premise (275), SaaS/Subscription (277), and Lab & OT (47) environments, driving execution toward a firm Go-Live date of July 1, 2027.

In this specialized technical execution role, you will build and configure financial data flows, including RFC/BAPI and IDoc/ALE interfaces for invoicing and e-invoicing partners on the webMethods platform, unit-test mapping logic against Finance functional specifications, and support SIT/UAT defect triage. Throughout the development and testing lifecycle, you will leverage AI-assisted mapping refactoring tools, automated e-invoicing syntax validation, intelligent payload parsing, and AI-driven defect triage to ensure high throughput, strict regulatory compliance, and zero data loss across financial migration waves.

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and configure enterprise integration flows on Software AG webMethods (Integration Server / API Gateway) dedicated to finance, billing, and invoicing
• Configure SAP RFC/BAPI and IDoc/ALE interfaces connecting core SAP financial hubs with e-invoicing partners and external tax stacks
• Utilize AI-powered mapping assistants and automated unit-testing scripts to validate transformation logic against complex Finance functional specifications
• Develop and maintain REST and SOAP APIs, XML/JSON transformations, and secure messaging patterns for financial transactions
• Collaborate with functional consultants, test co-ordinators, and business owners to rapidly triage, investigate, and resolve SIT and UAT defects
• Participate in migration rehearsals, validate financial interface re-pointing, and support hypercare stabilization

Requirements

• 3+ years of hands-on experience developing integration solutions using webMethods Integration Server, Designer, and API Gateway
• Deep familiarity with SAP integration mechanisms, specifically RFC/BAPI and IDoc/ALE configuration for financial modules (FI/CO/SD)
• Understanding of e-invoicing message standards, regulatory transmission formats, and B2B document exchange
• Proven background in building and securing REST and SOAP APIs, XML/JSON payloads, and enterprise messaging flows
• Expertise in leveraging AI-assisted mapping tools, automated testing scripts, and intelligent payload validation platforms
• English proficiency at an Upper-Intermediate level (B2) or higher

Nice to have

• Experience working on M&A IT carve-outs, corporate divestitures, or TSA exit integration programs
• Familiarity with enterprise integration inventories (Ardoq) and automated CI/CD deployment pipelines
• Certifications in webMethods or cloud integration architectures
