Senior Interior Designer

Role Description The Senior Interior Designer at ZS CONSULTING will lead the design and development of interior projects from concept through completion in a part-time, remote capacity. Day-to-day responsibilities include space planning, developing design concepts, selecting finishes and FF&E, and coordinating with architects, contractors, and consultants. The role involves preparing and reviewing construction drawings and design documentation, ensuring compliance with project requirements, budget, and schedule. The Senior Interior Designer will collaborate with clients to understand their needs, present design solutions, and provide professional guidance throughout the project lifecycle. This position also includes mentoring junior team members, maintaining project quality standards, and contributing to continuous improvement of design processes.
Qualifications

• Strong interior design and FF&E skills, including concept development, material selection, and furniture, fixtures, and equipment specification.
• Proficiency in space planning and architecture-related coordination, with the ability to translate client needs into functional layouts.
• Experience creating and reviewing construction drawings and technical documentation for interior projects.
• Relevant degree or diploma in Interior Design, Architecture, or a closely related field.
• Proficiency in industry-standard design and documentation software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite).
• Strong communication, presentation, and client-facing skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively in a remote environment.
• Demonstrated experience in managing multiple projects, attention to detail, and commitment to quality and deadlines.
• Prior experience in a senior or lead interior design role, including mentoring or supervising design teams, is highly beneficial.
