Senior iOS Developer

Contract: 12 months (subject to extension).

Location: Amsterdam, Netherlands.

Your Profile & DNA:

We are looking for an experienced Senior iOS Developer to join a cross-disciplinary team working on card functionality within a mobile banking application.

This is a hands-on role for an experienced iOS professional who enjoys working with Swift, UIKit, SwiftUI, clean architecture, legacy code modernization, and accessibility.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Develop and maintain native iOS features using Swift.
• Contribute to the evolution of card-related functionality within the mobile banking application.
• Analyze requirements and translate them into robust technical solutions.
• Refine requirements collaboratively with the team and identify potential technical implications.
• Implement pending changes and new functionality related to card services.
• Maintain and improve existing iOS features.
• Work on legacy code, including refactoring and modernization activities.
• Refactor Objective-C code where required.
• Improve application accessibility and ensure features meet relevant accessibility standards.
• Apply sound interface design principles to deliver a consistent and accessible customer experience.
• Collaborate proactively with the cross-disciplinary team to refine and plan future functionality.
• Contribute to application quality, maintainability, stability, and performance.
• Participate actively in Scrum ceremonies and Agile development activities.
• Work according to a DevOps mindset, taking ownership throughout the development lifecycle.
• Contribute to Guild activities, sharing knowledge, technical expertise, and best practices with the wider developer community.
• Collaborate with other development teams to promote consistency and continuous improvement.
• Independently investigate technical challenges and deliver solutions with limited guidance.
• Ensure implemented solutions remain compliant, future-proof, and aligned with strategic objectives.

Qualification & Experience

• A Bachelor's or Master's Degree or equivalent.
• 8+ years of professional iOS development experience
• Strong expertise in Swift
• Hands-on experience with UIKit & SwiftUI
• Experience with VIP Clean Architecture
• Strong knowledge of iOS application development and interface design
• Experience working with legacy code and Objective-C refactoring
• Good understanding of mobile accessibility
• Experience working within a larger developer community
• Ability to work independently with minimal guidance
• Strong communication and collaboration skills
• Proactive approach to team collaboration and problem solving
• Experience working in Scrum/Agile and DevOps environments

Nice to Have

• Experience with modern Swift Concurrency
• Experience in financial services / banking
• Experience with card or payment-related functionality
