What will you do?

The Integrations Engineer role is responsible for analysing integration demands and designing, developing, implementing and supporting secure, reliable and reusable integration solutions that meet business requirements and align with enterprise integration principles, architectural standards and development best practices.

The role provides end-to-end ownership across the integration lifecycle. This includes demand assessment, requirements elicitation, process and data analysis, user story definition, solution design, hands-on SnapLogic development, testing, deployment, documentation, production support and continuous improvement.

Working closely with Integration squad, Enterprise Application teams, Solution Architects, IT Leaders, Delivery Owners and Shared Services teams, the role translates complex business needs into practical integration solutions that enable organisational priorities and maximise the value of the enterprise integration platform.

Integration Analysis and Design

• Assess and document integration and API requests, including business outcomes, scope, data requirements, dependencies, risks and non-functional requirements.
• Evaluate technical feasibility and recommend practical, reusable and supportable integration approaches.
• Develop or contribute to solution designs aligned with architecture, security and enterprise integration standards.
• Identify opportunities to reuse existing APIs, pipelines, platform capabilities and integration patterns.
• Translate functional and non-functional requirements into high-quality user stories and acceptance criteria to ensure they can be effectively developed and tested.
• Lead the technical requirement documentation and management, including capturing, eliciting, analysing and traceability of how requirements are fulfilled.

Integration Delivery and Support

• Design, develop, test, and implement integration solutions including SnapLogic pipelines, APIs, Azure cloud services (e.g., Azure Service Bus), scripts, data mapping and transformation, validations and error-handling processes.
• Apply agreed standards for development, version control, logging, monitoring, security and maintainability.
• Support integration applications, APIs and platform services in accordance with agreed operating practices, KPIs and SLAs.
• Diagnose and resolve complex integration issues across applications, middleware, APIs and data.

• Identify technical debt, recurring issues and opportunities to improve automation, reliability and supportability.

Technology Leadership

• Contribute to the continuous improvement of integration standards, patterns, development frameworks, delivery practices and platform governance.
• Contribute to the skills uplift across the product squad through knowledge sharing and coaching.
• Understand key concepts of developing and designing integrations to ensure that the solutions meet industry best practices and standards.
• Knowledgeable in API lifecycle management and contribute to the establishment and awareness of its purpose and use cases across the enterprise.

Stakeholder Management

• Facilitate engagement with customers and/or cross-functional teams to raise awareness of key materials/processes/artifacts/standards. Communicate how to leverage the integration platform and assets to deliver required business outcome.

• Engaging with the business and IT stakeholders to address complex business problems through application solutions.

• Ensuring clear and effective communication of technical solutions to both technical and nontechnical audience.

Essential skills and experience:

• Extensive experience across integration requirements analysis, solution design, development and production support.
• Extensive hands-on experience implementing integrations using SnapLogic or similar tools is required.
• Strong experience developing APIs, pipelines, data mapping and transformations, scripts, validations and error-handling solutions.
• Strong understanding of integration architecture, API lifecycle management, data integration and reusable design patterns.
• Strong systems thinking with an analytical, creative, and systematic approach to problem-solving.
• Strong attention to detail and a keen desire to deliver the highest quality solutions.
• Excellent ability to create high-quality functional/technical documentation and technical requirements gathering skills.
• Strong work ethics with high sense of integrity and accountability over the work of the team.
• Excellent communication skills to technical and non-technical audience.
• Excellent stakeholder management skills and has worked with a diverse set of stakeholders.
• Maintains an awareness of developing technologies and their application and takes responsibility for personal development.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of relevant experience in enterprise integration, including requirements analysis, hands-on development, and support & maintenance (such as SnapLogic, Dell Boomi, Webmethods, Workato, etc.).
• Hands-on technical experience building SnapLogic pipelines and APIs, integrated with Azure cloud services (Service Bus, Cosmos DB), to connect enterprise applications (e.g., Workday, Dynamics 365).
• Strong experience participating in Agile methodologies and Scrum ceremonies.
• Strong experience in application development and support within a Global Shared Services setup.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or any related discipline.
• Certification in SnapLogic is highly desirable.
