Senior IT Manager – Hampshire

£65,000–£85,000 + Benefits | Hybrid Working

Take ownership of IT strategy and operations within a growing organisation.

Following a period of growth through acquisitions, the business is appointing its first dedicated internal IT leader. This is an opportunity to shape its technology roadmap and deliver a varied programme of projects that will support continued expansion. Initially, you’ll focus on managing external vendors and service providers, with scope to bring selected IT functions in-house as the business develops.

Based on the south coast, the offices are within commuting distance of Southampton and Portsmouth, with flexible hybrid working arrangements.

The role:

Reporting directly to senior management, you will:

  • Develop and deliver an IT strategy aligned with the company’s growth plans.
  • Oversee software, hardware, cloud services, data and infrastructure.
  • Manage and optimise the existing SAP ERP system.
  • Strengthen data security and improve data management processes.
  • Manage external suppliers and the existing managed service provider (MSP), ensuring effective service delivery.

About you:

You’ll be an experienced senior IT manager who combines strategic thinking with a practical, hands-on approach. You will bring:

  • A proven track record of developing and implementing IT strategies.
  • Experience delivering system upgrades and ERP deployments across multiple sites, ideally involving SAP and Microsoft technologies.
  • A strong background in data, preferably including the development and implementation of data strategies.
  • Hands-on experience in IT or engineering.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with senior stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Eligibility to work in the UK.
  • Ability to commute to the Hampshire office as required.
