The role
Our Client is pursuing a contract with a large public university in the Seattle area. The work covers the technology behind its transportation services: parking, payments, access, and mobility across several campuses and a medical system. We need one senior consultant to lead it.
This role depends on contract award. We expect a decision the first week of November 2026.
What you will do
Build the governance model for transportation technology: who decides, who approves, and who escalates.
Interview executives, operations staff, IT, finance, and procurement across every campus.
Map the current state: applications, integrations, pain points, technical debt, and planned spending.
Stand up governance forums and run them. Record decisions and actions.
Build executive dashboards that show status, risk, funding, and the decisions leaders owe.
Manage projects that integrate different versions of the T2 parking platform.
Keep charters, work plans, risk registers, decision logs, and status reports current.
Rank the biggest problems by impact, cost, and urgency, then recommend what to fix first.
Present findings to leadership for approval.
Hand off templates, procedures, and know-how so university staff can carry the work forward.
What you bring
Senior experience in all four areas: IT strategic planning, technology roadmaps, IT governance and portfolio prioritization, and program or project management.
A record of leading cross-functional technology work inside large, decentralized organizations.
Comfort with executives, operations teams, central and distributed IT, and outside vendors.
Availability to start in early November 2026.
Ability to attend on-site meetings in Seattle up to once a week.
What sets you apart
Higher education, healthcare, government, or transportation experience.
Work in federated IT environments with multiple campuses or entities.
Hands-on time with parking, access, credentialing, or payment platforms. T2 experience is a strong plus.
PMP, PgMP, Prosci, TOGAF, ITIL, or equal proven skill.
