Senior Java Developer

We are looking for an experienced Senior Java Backend Engineer to design, build and maintain high-performance backend services for a project in the gaming industry. You will focus on scalable, distributed systems and in-memory data processing, working with modern Java and cloud technologies.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain backend services using Java 21 and Spring Boot
• Build and optimize distributed data processing and caching solutions using GridGain 8.9.x
• Deploy, operate, and maintain services on AWS using Docker
• Manage builds and dependencies using Maven
• Work in Linux environments and automate tasks using Bash scripting
• Ensure performance, scalability, and reliability of backend systems under high load
• Participate in technical design, architecture discussions, and feature planning
• Troubleshoot production issues and support root-cause investigations
• Perform code reviews and contribute to high code quality standards
• Collaborate with frontend, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end features
• Maintain technical documentation and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Hands-on experience with Java (ideally Java 17/21) and Spring Boot
• Experience with GridGain, Apache Ignite, or other in-memory data grid / distributed caching technologies
• Experience with Maven and modern build and dependency management practices
• Experience working with AWS services in production environments
• Experience with Docker and containerized applications
• Comfortable working in Linux environments and writing Bash scripts
• Good understanding of microservices, RESTful APIs, and distributed system design
• Experience supporting high-availability, high-performance production environments
• Strong problem-solving and analytical thinking skills
• Good communication and collaboration skills
• Commitment to code quality and continuous improvement
• Experience in the gaming or iGaming industry is a plus
• Familiarity with TypeScript, Angular, React, or Next.js is a plus
