About the Offer

We are currently looking for a Senior Java Engineer with deep PostgreSQL and Azure experience to join the team of our global client. For this role, Optiveum is the recruitment and contracting party, which means you will sign the cooperation agreement directly with us.

You will design and build event-driven Java / Spring Boot microservices running on AKS, backed by Azure Database for PostgreSQL and integrated through Kafka and Azure Service Bus.

Key Details:

• Rate: 133–158 PLN/h (B2B), depending on experience: 10–12 years of relevant experience 133–149 PLN/h, 12+ years 149–158 PLN/h

• Work Model: Hybrid, 3 days per week from the client's office in Wrocław (non-negotiable), full-time

• Location: Wrocław (candidates must live in or within commuting distance of Wrocław)

• Start: December 2026

Responsibilities:

• Design and develop Java / Spring Boot microservices and REST APIs

• Build event-driven integrations using Kafka and Azure Service Bus

• Design, optimise and maintain PostgreSQL databases in production, including Azure Database for PostgreSQL – Flexible Server

• Manage database schema changes and migrations with Liquibase as part of CI/CD pipelines

• Deploy and run services on AKS / Kubernetes

• Ensure observability, monitoring and troubleshooting of distributed systems using Azure Monitor and related tooling

• Handle secrets and configuration securely with Azure Key Vault

Requirements:

• At least 10 years of experience with Java and Spring Boot, including microservices and REST APIs

• Extensive hands-on PostgreSQL experience in production environments

• Experience with Azure Database for PostgreSQL – Flexible Server

• Experience with AKS / Kubernetes

• Hands-on experience with Azure Service Bus and Kafka

• Strong knowledge of event-driven architecture and distributed systems

• Experience with Liquibase and database migrations integrated with CI/CD

• Good knowledge of Azure services, including Azure Monitor and Key Vault

• Experience with observability, troubleshooting and Linux-based environments

• Fluent English

• Polish or EU citizenship, or a permanent residence / work permit valid for at least 12 months

Nice to Have:

• DDD (Domain-Driven Design) and CQRS

• Redis and NoSQL (e.g. Oracle NoSQL)
