Senior Java Software Engineer

We are looking for a Senior Java Software Engineer to join the team in Wroclaw. In this position, you will build and maintain Client Order Management Systems for FX Resting Orders, applications supporting cryptocurrency settlement, and much more.

Responsibilities

• Break larger product requirements into smaller deliverable stories, working independently as a great addition to the team
• Take ownership of the end-to-end delivery of features and initiatives from inception to production release and support
• Collaborate with peers to shape the future architecture of our platforms
• Share knowledge and expertise with other team members
• Find and initiate technical improvements and simplifications
• Present, document, and discuss larger changes with the team
• Maintain and improve code quality over time
• Design REST APIs and Avro protocols with schema evolution
• Work as a Developer with Docker, Kubernetes, Helm, and GitLab CI/CD pipelines

Requirements

• Excellent written and spoken English communication skills
• Proficiency in AI development tools and techniques such as GitHub Copilot and Microsoft Copilot within M365
• Desire to experiment, innovate, and push the boundaries
• Strong server-side Java development skills, with 5+ years of working experience
• Experience with designing and building robust, scalable and highly available distributed systems in an enterprise environment
• Experience applying Domain-Driven Design (DDD) principles and modeling business domains in close collaboration with business stakeholders
• Strong knowledge of Apache Kafka, Spring, and Spring Boot
• Understanding of reactive programming, message ordering, and idempotency paradigms
• Experience designing event-driven and streaming architectures, including CQRS and read models
• Experience with cloud technologies, preferably Microsoft Azure
• Interest in DevOps skills as an end-user of existing solutions with modifications or adoption to make

Nice to have

• Familiarity with observability and monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, centralized logging and alerting
• Background in FX or cryptocurrency domain knowledge and previous Order Management System experience
