Senior Lead A/P Analyst

SUMMARY:

We are seeking a Senior Lead AP Analyst who brings strong experience, attention to detail, and a continuous improvement mindset to support high-quality accounts payable management. This role is an opportunity to play a key part in processing accurate information while continuously improving processes through collaboration, standardization, and the use of technology.

The successful candidate will have a solid foundation of accounts payable experience and is excellent in applying that knowledge to accounts payable processes & controls. This individual will work closely with other individuals in the accounting team, vendors, business partners, and external auditors to ensure quality, consistency, and continuous improvement.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· Manage Ramp credit card and expense reimbursement software and reconciliations, including user administration and assistance

· Support month-end and year-end close activities, including accruals and reporting.

· Review, validate, and process vendor invoices in accordance with company policies and approval workflows.

· Investigate and resolve invoice discrepancies and payment variances.

· Serve as a primary point of contact for vendor escalations and payment-related concerns; Build and maintain positive vendor relationships.

· Support business partners by providing timely payment status updates and analysis.

· Manage ACH, wire, check, and other payment methods to ensure timely vendor payments.

· Monitor AP aging reports and address outstanding balances.

· Maintain vendor master records and ensure data accuracy; Perform account and vendor statement reconciliations.

· Prepare AP reporting, metrics, and analysis for management review.

· Identify trends and recommend improvements to AP processes, controls, and automation.

· Assist internal and external auditors with AP documentation and support.

· Develop and maintain AP procedures and training materials; Act as a subject matter expert for Accounts Payable processes and systems.

· Assist with onboarding, training, and mentoring AP team members.

· Support the AP Manager and AP Supervisor with workload prioritization and project initiatives.

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE:

· 5+ years of progressive Accounts Payable experience.

· Strong understanding of AP processes, invoice management, and payment controls.

· Experience working with ERP systems and AP automation platforms.

· Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Excel skills, including Pivot Tables, XLOOKUP/VLOOKUP, and data analysis.

· Strong analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.

· Excellent communication and customer service skills.

· Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

· Preferred: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related field; Leadership or mentoring experience within an AP environment; Experience supporting audits, reconciliations, and process improvement initiatives.
