Senior Lead QA Engineer (Contract, Remote)

Job Description This is a remote position. About the Role We’re looking for a Senior Lead QA Engineer to own and elevate our quality strategy across products. This role blends hands-on testing, test automation leadership, and team mentorship. You’ll work closely with Engineering, Product, and stakeholders to ensure we ship reliable, high-quality software at scale. Key Responsibilities Define and lead the overall QA strategy, processes, and best practices Own test planning, execution, and reporting across multiple projects Lead, mentor, and grow a team of QA engineers Drive test automation strategy and implementation (UI, API, and/or mobile) Collaborate with Product Managers and Developers to define acceptance criteria Ensure quality is embedded early in the SDLC (shift-left testing) Review requirements, designs, and technical solutions for stability Track and communicate quality metrics, risks, and release readiness Champion continuous improvement in tools, frameworks, and workflows Requirements 7+ years of experience in Quality Assurance or Software Testing 2+ years in a QA Lead or Senior QA role Strong experience with test automation frameworks and tools Solid understanding of SDLC, Agile/Scrum methodologies Hands-on experience testing web applications, APIs, and/or mobile apps Experience with CI/CD pipelines and integrating automated tests Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills Nice to Have Experience with performance and/or security testing Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, GCP) Experience scaling QA practices in fast-growing teams ISTQB or similar certifications Benefits
