This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced Irish employment lawyer to take on a broad, commercially focused in-house role within a complex, multinational business.
Working closely with senior stakeholders across Legal, HR, Employee Relations and wider business functions, you will advise on a diverse range of employment matters across Ireland and the UK, with exposure to wider EMEA projects.
The role offers a varied workload spanning employment law, industrial relations, litigation, organisational change, outsourcing transactions and commercial agreements.
Key Responsibilities

- Advise on TUPE and transfer of undertakings, including consultation obligations, due diligence, liability allocation and transition planning.
- Support restructurings, changes to terms and conditions, individual and collective redundancies and wider organisational change programmes.
- Manage employment disputes and litigation before the Workplace Relations Commission and Labour Court, including case strategy, risk assessment and engagement with external counsel.
- Advise on industrial relations, trade union engagement, collective consultation and employee representative matters.
- Provide employment law support on outsourcing, insourcing, competitive tenders, acquisitions, disposals and other business transformation projects.
- Draft, review and negotiate employment-related provisions in customer and supplier contracts, including TUPE provisions, warranties, indemnities and exit arrangements.
- Draft and review employment policies, procedures, settlement agreements and other legal documentation.
- Monitor developments in Irish employment law, update internal policies, deliver training and support cross-border employment projects.
Candidate Requirements
- Qualified solicitor or barrister entitled to practise in Ireland.
- Approximately 7–10 years' post-qualification experience in employment law, gained in private practice and/or in-house.
- Strong experience across contentious and non-contentious Irish employment law.
- Excellent knowledge of Irish employment legislation and procedures, including Workplace Relations Commission and Labour Court processes.
- Demonstrable experience advising on TUPE, organisational change, industrial relations and collective consultation.
- Experience supporting outsourcing transactions and advising on employment provisions in commercial contracts.
- Strong commercial judgement, legal drafting and analytical skills, with the ability to provide clear, practical and solutions-focused advice.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively across a range of business functions.
- Ability to manage competing priorities, work independently and deliver to demanding deadlines.
Desirable:
- Experience within a large multinational organisation or advising international corporate clients.
- Exposure to employment-related pensions matters in a transactional context.
- Experience advising on wider EMEA employment matters.
