We are looking for a Senior Legal Counsel focused on product and marketing compliance, data protection, IP, and regulatory compliance in the USA, EU, and UK. As the SKELAR Legal Risks & Compliance team, we build the foundation that enables our businesses to scale quickly and with minimal risk. We handle compliance in numerous jurisdictions, resolve complex cases, and provide top-level legal partnership. Your impact In this role, you will: Identify potential risks in consumer protection, data privacy, and IP in tier-1 jurisdictions: the USA, EU, and UK. Develop practical legal solutions to protect SKELAR interests and support business objectives. Partner with business teams — marketing, product, engineering, finance — to implement comprehensive compliance programs and facilitate informed decision-making. Build new and enhance existing legal processes to proactively manage risks. Provide support for businesses in regulatory investigations and dispute resolution processes. Monitor legal and regulatory developments and translate them into actionable guidance, training, and compliance initiatives for the business. Working directly with senior leadership, you’ll have real ownership from day one. About you 4+ years of experience in local or international top-tier law firms / Big 4 / product or tech companies. A degree in law from a Ukrainian or foreign university. Fluent English. Initiative and willingness to work on a wide variety of legal matters. Practical, business-oriented approach and ability to balance legal risk against commercial objectives. The ability to think creatively to solve complex legal issues. Result-oriented, well-organized, self-starter. Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to communicate complex legal issues in a clear, concise, and pragmatic manner. Will be a plus Expertise in consumer protection laws in the USA and EU: FTC Act, ROSCA, OMNIBUS Directive, etc. Understanding of GDPR, CCPA, and other data protection frameworks.
