Senior Manager Accounting (f/m/d)

What to expect:

The Senior Manager Accounting EMEA is responsible for overseeing the accounting function across the EMEA region, ensuring the efficient and accurate management of financial activities, compliance, financial reporting, and internal controls. This role will be responsible for leading and mentoring a high-performing accounting team and works closely with the VP Finance EMEA and global finance leadership to support business growth, regulatory compliance, and strategic decision making.

  • Leads and oversees accounting operations, month-end, quarter-end, and year-end close processes for the EMEA region to ensure timely, accurate, and compliant financial reporting.
  • Responsible for the accounting and reporting of 11 European entities to U.S. headquarters in accordance with US-GAAP and regional statutory reporting.
  • Conduct monthly reconciliations of P&L, Balance Sheet, and Cash Flow.
  • Coordinates day-to-day activities and reviews work performed to ensure accuracy, consistency and compliance with company policies and reporting requirements.
  • Manage the preparation of statutory accounts for the European entities, ensuring compliance with local accounting, and regulatory requirements.
  • Drives improvement, standardization, and transformation of EMEA accounting and reporting processes.
  • Supports the Oracle Fusion implementation and other finance initiatives that enhance efficiency, compliance, and scalability.
  • Acts as primary liaison for internal and external audits, ensuring compliance with US-GAAP, local statutory requirements, and company policies.
  • Partners with EMEA and global leadership teams providing financial analysis, reporting insights, and recommendations supporting strategic decision-making.
  • Provides mentorship and leadership to the accounting team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
  • Develops and maintains a productive work team including hiring qualified personnel, training, and managing performance management, transfer, advancement, and termination.
  • Manages teams with integrity, ethical business practices, and in accordance with Mouser policies, procedures, and practices.
  • Manages daily operations to meet department and company objectives.
  • Flexible in meeting the changing needs of the business and willingness to take on new responsibilities and assignments.
  • Initiates, establishes and maintains highly effective relationships with internal and external business contacts of various cultures, and at all levels.

What we are looking for:

  • Bachelor’s degree in finance or a related field.
  • Professional certification in accounting or finance is preferred.
  • Minimum of 5 years' of total management experience, including 3 years’ leadership experience in Accounting, with a proven track record of managing and developing teams.
  • Expertise in the consolidation of international entities within multinational organizations.
  • Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, procedures, and applicable accounting standards as well as inventory and cost accounting.
  • Profound experience in US-GAAP, ideally complemented by a solid understanding of local European accounting and regulatory requirements.
  • Sound understanding of tax principles and their impact on financial reporting and business operations.
  • Strong understanding of internal controls, risk management, and audit requirements.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvements and lead organizational change initiatives.
  • Strong experience in financial systems, MS Office and an ERP-System, preferably Oracle.
  • Hands-on approach, combination of management and personal production.
  • Ability to support and collaborate with senior management and cross-functional teams.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail and profound problem-solving skills.
  • Extremely confidential and trustworthy.
  • Disciplined, well organized, flexible and prepared to work within deadlines. Works with minimum supervision and makes independent judgments.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and the local language. Other languages are a plus.
