Job Description

Team Summary:

Visa Consulting & Analytics (VCA) drives tangible, impactful and financial results for Visa's clients, including card issuers, acquirers, and merchants. Drawing on our expertise in strategy consulting, data analytics, brand management, marketing, operations and macroeconomics, VCA solves the most strategic problems for our clients.

The VCA team within Japan provides a comprehensive range of consulting services and solutions to our clients in Japan, that address unique challenges in areas such as strategic growth, profitability, risk management and digital strategy.

VCA Managed Services members play a key role in enhancing the partnership with one of Visa Japan’s largest clients by supporting strategic planning and implementation of their most strategic initiatives.

This is a newly created role within VCA Japan that goes beyond traditional consulting delivery: the Senior Manager takes on direct account management responsibility and shares growth goals jointly with Visa’s Client Relationship Management (CRM) team, with accountability for the account’s business results.

What a Senior Manager , Visa Consulting and Analytics does at Visa:

We are currently looking for a Senior Manager to own and grow a strategic Co-Brand card partnership in Japan, acting as the client’s primary account owner in close partnership with Visa’s Client Relationship Management (CRM) team.

The Senior Manager acts as the client’s main point of contact and account owner, coordinating closely with CRM, Marketing, Product and other internal stakeholders to align on priorities and shared goals. The Senior Manager independently leads each initiative from proposal through to contract negotiation and signing, then assigns the necessary team members to drive delivery – retaining accountability for ensuring that execution stays on track. The full range of responsibilities is detailed below:

Day to Day Responsibilities:

  • Own end-to-end account management for a strategic Co-Brand card partnership, with direct accountability for the account’s business growth results.
  • Share and co-own growth targets with the Client Relationship Management (CRM) team, operating as one integrated team against common goals.
  • Lead cross-functional collaboration with Marketing, Product and other internal stakeholders to shape and align on new initiatives, campaigns, and programs.
  • Independently lead the full lifecycle of client initiatives – from proposal development and negotiation through to contract execution – acting as the single point of ownership from pitch to signed deal.
  • Coordinate internal arrangements across Legal, Finance, Product, and other functions to keep contracts and initiatives moving smoothly to execution.
  • Drive initiatives through to execution, holding both internal and external stakeholders accountable for delivering on commitments and timelines.
  • Analyze client business challenges, portfolio performance, and market opportunities using data-driven insights, and partner with internal stakeholders to identify, shape, and propose Consulting projects that support the client’s strategic objectives and business growth.
  • Act as the primary relationship owner for the client, managing relationships across all levels of the client organization – from senior leadership (GM) to key frontline members – to deepen the partnership.
  • Maintain a working, qualitative understanding of account performance and portfolio trends through monitoring of data and reporting, to inform relationship and growth conversations
  • Oversee and manage administrative tasks and project setup including contracting documentation, internal reporting, and completion of compliance procedures.
