The Role

As a Senior Manager, you will translate practice strategy into strong commercial, delivery, customer, and people outcomes. You will have accountability for a defined business portfolio including managing performance against agreed margin, utilisation, cost, and delivery targets.

You will lead Delivery Managers and teams and provide senior governance across customer engagements, ensuring delivery remains aligned to customer outcomes, commercial objectives, and Nucleo standards.

Key Responsibilities

Commercial and P&L Management

• Own portfolio revenue, margin, utilisation, forecasting and profitability.
• Support bids, pricing, commercial reviews and account growth.
• Align pipeline, capacity and workforce planning.

Customer Governance and Relationships

• Build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders.
• Lead governance forums, manage escalations and drive customer outcomes.
• Use feedback to strengthen relationships and improve delivery.

Portfolio Delivery Leadership

• Oversee multiple engagements, risks, dependencies and performance.
• Lead and hold Delivery Managers accountable for delivery outcomes.
• Drive consistent governance, reporting and continuous improvement.

People Leadership

• Lead, coach and develop high-performing teams and managers.
• Manage performance, development and succession planning.
• Plan workforce capacity across employees and contractors.

Practice and Business Contribution

• Contribute to practice strategy, service development and delivery improvements.
• Support bids, proposals and strategic customer discussions.
• Develop reusable assets and champion Nucleo's values and standards.

What You'll Bring

• Significant experience in consulting, professional services, technology delivery or transformation.
• Proven experience leading complex portfolios with commercial and stakeholder accountability.
• Strong financial management skills, including margin, utilisation, forecasting and profitability.
• Experience building high-performing teams, ideally managing other managers and blended employee/contractor teams.
• Strong senior stakeholder engagement, customer governance and escalation management experience.
• Sound commercial judgement across contracts, scope, pricing, risk and delivery trade-offs.
• Excellent communication, influencing and decision-making skills.
• A practical, adaptable leadership style, balancing strategic thinking with hands-on delivery oversight.

Typically, 7+ years of relevant experience is expected, or equivalent depth of experience and responsibility.
