Show job description

Pharmacy1st Health is building the clinical infrastructure for rural America by transforming independent pharmacies into integrated care delivery hubs. Our model combines primary care, pharmacy services, and chronic disease management under one roof, creating a new, lower-cost site of care for underserved communities.

We operate across multiple states and are rapidly expanding a network of rural clinics co-located with pharmacies. Our goal is to deliver scalable, high-quality care while improving access, outcomes, and cost efficiency.

Role Overview

The Senior Manager, Clinic Operations will lead the launch and ongoing operations of Pharmacy1st's clinic network. This person will report to the Senior Director, Clinic Operations and own clinic licensing, operating documentation, site readiness, and day-to-day clinic operations support across a growing, multi-site network — traveling 25–30% of the time to support clinic sites directly, including delivering in-person clinical training that standardizes the standard of care across Matilda clinics.

Key Responsibilities

CLINIC LAUNCH READINESS

  • Own clinic launch readiness network-wide, partnering with the Senior Director, Clinic Operations on strategy and timelines.

  • Oversee provider credentialing and enrollment across the network, escalating delays without owning day-to-day execution.

  • Build and maintain the launch checklist and readiness documentation covering staffing, licensing, EHR setup, and operating procedures.

  • Direct cross-functional coordination to ensure launch milestones are met, and report launch risks to leadership.

DAY-TO-DAY CLINIC OPERATIONS SUPPORT

  • Lead resolution of operational issues across clinic sites.

  • Own tracking of clinic performance metrics network-wide and drive accountability on open action items.

  • Lead troubleshooting of issues escalated from clinic sites, traveling on-site as needed.

CLINICAL TRAINING AND STANDARDIZATION

  • Travel to Matilda clinic sites to deliver in-person training on clinical procedures and urgent care skills staff need to learn or refresh.

  • Lead ongoing training programs that standardize the standard of care across all Matilda clinics.

  • Identify skill gaps, keep training current with urgent care best practices, and track staff competency.

PROCESS DOCUMENTATION AND PLAYBOOKS

  • Own the standard operating procedures and launch playbooks used across the network.

  • Document and standardize key workflows, including provider onboarding, scheduling, and pharmacy-clinic handoffs.

  • Keep documentation organized and up to date, and identify opportunities to improve consistency across sites.

CROSS-FUNCTIONAL COORDINATION

  • Serve as the primary coordination point between clinic operations, clinical leadership, HR, legal, compliance, and external vendors.

  • Ensure information flows clearly between Corporate HQ and clinic sites.

  • Lead special projects for the Senior Director, Clinic Operations, and lay the groundwork for a future Clinic Operations team.

Qualifications

REQUIRED

  • 5+ years of experience in healthcare operations, clinic administration, or a related role, including experience across multiple sites.

  • Active clinical licensure (NP) with urgent care or emergency room experience.

  • Proven track record leading cross-functional projects independently, with strong organizational and communication skills.

  • Comfort designing and delivering hands-on, in-person clinical training to clinic staff.

  • Comfort operating in a fast-moving, entrepreneurial environment, with strong problem-solving skills.

  • Based in or willing to travel to the Washington, DC office as needed.

  • Willing and able to travel 25–30% of the time to support clinic sites across the network.

PREFERRED

  • Experience with provider credentialing, payer enrollment, or healthcare compliance at a leadership level.

  • Familiarity with EHR systems, billing workflows, and clinic launch processes.

  • Experience leading multi-site healthcare operations, including people-management or team-building experience.

  • Interest in rural healthcare and building new care delivery models.
