The Senior Manager, Credit Risk plays a pivotal role in safeguarding Cuscal’s credit risk framework. This role is responsible for providing oversight of portfolio management activities, ensuring the consistent implementation and adherence to credit risk policies, standards, and procedures across the organisation. The role also provides independent oversight of First Line credit risk practices and delivers data-driven insights to support informed decision-making, risk mitigation, and portfolio performance.
You’ll make an impact by:
- Overseeing the management Cuscal's credit limits and associated exposures in a pro-active manner, including maintenance of various credit risk models in accordance with Credit Risk Policy.
- Maintaining and administering credit risk policy, standards and procedures that support the level of risk appetite as determined by the Board of Directors and ensures adherence to all relevant regulation.
- Overseeing the maintenance of an up-to-date limits and review framework for all exposures.
- Reviewing and endorsing all credit applications and periodic reviews.
- Developing and maintaining risk methodologies for chargeback/refund risk
- Providing technical credit risk support and analysis to first line risk businesses
- Managing the preparation of Board and Risk Management committee papers.
- Liaising with APRA as required.
- Providing insights with the ongoing improvement to existing credit risk related policies and procedures and their implementation.
- Identifying and analysing emerging credit/counterparty risks and providing these results, including the completion portfolio and industry papers to key internal stakeholders.
- Providing information, training, advice and tools to the first line of defence to assist them to identify, manage and +monitor risks.
- Assisting with completing credit risk related remediation actions.
You will stand out if you have:
- In-depth knowledge of APS 220, 221 and APS 222 and general knowledge of the APRA prudential environment
- Strong knowledge of credit analysis techniques
- Understanding of credit procedures and management systems
- Experience with loan security documentation
- Sound knowledge of balance sheet risk management and accounting practices
- Good understanding of Treasury credit risks including credit pricing, fair and relative value analysis
- Experience working with Regulators
- Data analytics (Excel, Power BI, SQL)
- Risk management (CFA, FRM, PRM preferred)
