Why this role matters:
We are seeking a highly organized and collaborative digital content leader who excels at bringing structure, governance, and operational excellence to complex content ecosystems. The Senior Manager, Digital Content owns the content operations behind Preferred Travel Group (PTG) global digital content, including brand websites, mobile app content surfaces and B2B portals. The role is accountable for obtaining content, administering it into the systems that render them and sourcing from contributors. They will also oversee the intake, quality control, publishing workflows, ensuring the content’s web and LLM discoverability, translations/localizations and asset governance in the DAM. This role will partner heavily with PTG’s creative team, UI/UX and Product managers to ensure the specifications and delivery of content is accurate, complete, and structured properly. Although not responsible for the creation of the content itself, the role will be accountable for its on-time delivery.
Under the supervision of the Senior Director, Digital Product, the Sr Manager conceptualizes and executes the content strategy creating a best-in-class user experience in partnership with Marketing, Loyalty, Communications, Regional Directors, Brand Creative teams, and liaise with digital agencies as needed. There will also be regular interaction with member hotels and their representatives on content and imagery requirements.
Success in this role means ensuring high-quality digital content is delivered accurately, consistently, and on time across all PTG platforms. You will build a scalable content operation, lead a high-performing team, and proactively drive improvements that enhance efficiency, content quality, and the overall user experience.
Key Responsibilities:
- Team Leadership and People Management
- Directly manage two Content Specialists, setting priorities, assigning work, balancing workloads, and ensuring the team has clear goals, role clarity, and capacity to meet publishing commitments.
- Coach and develop direct reports through regular feedback, performance conversations, goal setting, and development planning.
- Establish team operating practices, including backlog reviews, content production planning, quality calibration, workload balancing, and escalation paths for blocked or at-risk content work.
- Content Source and Contributor Management
- Run intake for all digital content. Define what is needed, by when and to what specification, and brief PTG’s Brand Creative team and member hotels accordingly.
- Maintain the content specification set, including but not limited to copy length, image dimensions and treatment, required fields, and rights and usage, so that contributors know what good looks like before submission.
- Own the contributor relations with member hotels and their representatives on property copy and imagery. Request, chase, and review against standards.
- Content Operations and Publishing
- Own the intake, review, approval and publishing workflow across the CMS for all brand-owned B2C and B2B surfaces, defining publishing SLAs and hold the team requestors to them.
- Own content quality at the entry level, including taxonomy and tagging discipline, required filed completeness, and referential integrity across property, offer, destination and editorial records.
- Administer supplied content into the CMS and DAM accurately and completely, including metadata, structure, cross references and localization variants.
- Propose, define, and own the content modeling in partnership with product, creative, and technical teams.
- Forecast content capacity against the published roadmap and surface capacity conflicts at regular planning cadences instead of at launch.
- Partner with marketing and loyalty teams, to ensure landing pages, promotional pages ,and feed-facing content is accurate, live on schedule and consistent with campaigns and communications.
- Performance, Metrics, and Escalation
- Measure and report on content delivery performance through metrics such as SLA adherence, backlog health, quality defect rates, publishing throughput, localization readiness, and stakeholder satisfaction.
- Serve as the escalation point for content readiness risks, dependency gaps, contributor delays, and quality issues, working with Product, Creative, Marketing, Loyalty, agencies, and member hotel stakeholders to resolve blockers before launch.
- Use reporting and team insights to identify process improvements, automation opportunities, and governance changes that improve quality, speed, and consistency across digital content operations.
What you’ll bring to the team:
- Six or more years in digital content, content operations, or eCommerce content management, including at least two years directly managing people or formally leading a content function, with demonstrated experience coaching team members, assigning work, and holding contributors accountable to delivery standards.
- Hands-on ownership of a CMS at scale (headless preferred), including workflow configuration, structure content authoring, and localization patterns. Experience with Drupal, and/or Hygraph is a plus.
- Demonstrated operation of a publishing function with defined SLAs, a visible backlog and reporting on throughput and quality
- Experience managing agency or vendor delivery, including briefing partners, reviewing deliverables, and holding partners accountable to commitments.
- Demonstrated experience running content intake from contributors the role doesn’t manage, including internal creative teams, field properties, and agencies, while holding them to deadlines and specifications through influence.
- Comfort with structured content concepts like content types, references, union, localization and versioning, to specify and author a model change if needed.
Where you’ll thrive:
- You are comfortable operating in a rapidly evolving technology landscape, thrive on continuous learning and bring a proactive approach to identify opportunities for efficiency and automation to the role.
- You pride yourself on building relationships and leading through influence to ensure the work gets done properly and on-time.
- You communicate with clarity and conviction, working independently while maintaining strong follow-through and attention to detail when coordinating with others.
Our Working Culture:
With our in-office philosophy, our associates are expected to be in the office at least three days per week, supporting a healthy balance between in-person collaboration and flexible remote work. We take pride in our vibrant and inclusive culture, which thrives on meaningful connection, shared purpose, and cross-functional teamwork. It also provides valuable opportunities for mentorship, professional development, and a deeper sense of community.
Please note: While the current expectation is a minimum of three days per week in the office, this may evolve over time in alignment with business needs and our continued commitment to culture-building
